doesn’t change the fact Blizzard tripped limit up at the finish line with this and allowed method to win
Blizzard claims to be all about integrity and a holding themselves to a higher standard well then why not adhere to that statement and correct the issue that they caused in the one instance
all this is gonna do is effectively discourage other end game guilds like limit from even bothering since Blizzard will most likely nerf other raid settings the next time someone like method is falling behind
its setting a bad precedent and is going to actually lead to less people being motivated to compete on that level since the validity of this worlds first is suspiciously in question
I don’t blame method for taking advantage of the nerf but it doesn’t exactly mean they’ve earned it despite the fact this was not a change that was within their power it still comes down to the simple fact limit was ahead of them up until the nerf Blizzard patched in and gave them the push they needed to overtake limit
Oh stop just stop. You are being ridiculous, and i say this as a new fan of Limit. Know what max said the stream before he went to bed? If Method come and get it done while were asleep then they outplayed us. Grace in defeat.
nothing wrong with that if they were indeed outplayed fairly but this is NOT the case in this particular worlds first race attempt
Blizzard changed the content during the actual run handing method a free pass to overtake limit when they should’ve let it play out on its own if method couldn’t overcome the same problem that limit had already passed well that’s on them but when Blizzard nerfed it they changed the outcome drastically
Blizzard should’ve bided their time and let the race be settled on their own terms equally there was nothing equal about the way this matter was handled by Blizzard when they applied that nerf it had a direct influence on the outcome
Why are you? No one knows how it would have played out. It’s highly likely that unless Limit changed strategies they would - as they did every single time they broke through to P4 before the nerf - continue to have too many people carrying too many stacks to survive long enough to burn P4. It was this change that allowed them to come through P3 without 7 stacks on half their dps.
I don’t know how many of their P3 to P4 pulls I watched…at least 20, probably more like 30…but every one of the few they managed pre-nerf ended exactly the same way and even with the nerf, they downed her with 3 people left alive.
I watched them across dozens of pulls pre and post nerf so I’m going to go out on a limb here and suggest that I know more about it than you do - and Max, who now you are somehow calling a liar, was clear in his multiple calls for people to stop saying the nerf was the reason Method won the race. He had no motive to lie, not like Blizzard is paying them, he was clear; they got beat - like they got beat all expansion - by the better team. Go argue with him, tell him he’s lying. You can find him at:
I look forward to you coming back telling us all how you know more than he does and that you schooled him on his lying ways.
yeah beat by the better team only AFTER Blizzard took upon themselves to wait and choose the exact moment method was trailing to step in and apply this nerf
cant help but leave it up to speculation but would the same kind of nerf have been added by Blizzard in the event limit was behind? unfortunately we will never know for sure how this would’ve been resolved since limit has already been knocked out of the chance to actually get the win in this one
I couldn’t agree more its not about who won its the questionable actions which lead to the way they won the whole thing reeks and Blizzard should’ve maintained a professional distance only applying the nerf in question until afterwards and no competitors were attempting this
UK got nothing when it comes to weird laws case in point
Germany where you can legally buy beer even if you are younger than 21 they have the only highway with no speed limit and ironically skateboards are illegal nationwide for being too dangerous
A W18 engine is an eighteen-cylinder W engine which usually has a single crankshaft with three banks of six cylinders arranged in a downward-pointing broad arrow
An early example is the Isotta Fraschini Asso 750 used to power the Italian Savoia-Marchetti S.55 seaplanes flown by Italo Balbo into Chicago in 1933. This engine used the same layout as a recent series of engines produced by Bugatti – basically a vertical six with two adjacent banks set at 60° each to make a W-18. In Hispano-Suiza 18R the angle was 80°.
In 1967, Scuderia Ferrari engineer Franco Rocchi built an experimental 65×50mm, 498 cc W3 engine effectively a single crankpin module, in order to assess the potential for a 3-litre W18 Formula 1 engine. Although the engine developed 480 bhp at 11,000 rpm and 160 bhp per litre, the idea was abandoned. Subsequently in 1972 Formula 1 rules were changed to outlaw the use of engines with more than 12 cylinders. Rocchi used this module as the basis for a 3 1⁄2-litre W12 engine for Life Racing Engines in 1988, although this was infamously unsuccessful.Recent W18 engines powered the Bugatti 18/3 Chiron and Bugatti EB 18.4 Veyron concept cars in the late 1990s. This engine featured three banks of six cylinders set 60° apart. The W18 engine was abandoned due to shifting problems.
for those that haven’t read the entire thread let me give you a quick synopsis of what happened
mythic azshara both limit and method racing for worlds first
limit was slightly ahead of method due to them struggling with a part of the raid which limit had already overcome
by strange coincidence Blizzard chooses that exact moment and hotfixed in a nerf to said mechanic and suddenly method comes out of nowhere and overtakes the lead and gets the end boss kill
now you tell me nothing seems odd about the timing of that?
