OK so in Beta Wither was doing about 6M dmg per rotation. It got nurfed by 30% and then it was 3M to 3.5M.
Now we get a 35% buff but the dmg is only 4.5M this makes absolutly zero sense what was the backdoor nurf to that hurt Wither even more?

i believe there was bugs. that were causing more damage. bugs fixed then the buff… atleast thats what i heard.
Yeah, Wither was double dipping and benefiting from two talents both from the Affliction tree but also the Destruction tree at the same time
So Mark of Xavius for example should have been a 25% increase, but it was actually a 50% increase.
So the rundown is:
Unknown bugs was making Wither hit like a truck
Nerfs to make its damage where they want it to be
Bugs now become known and fixed. This now means wither is double nerfed and not doing enough damage.
Buffed to compensate.
Keep in mind a lot of your references from what I have seen are PvP related, most of the tuning and fixes right now are and should be PvE based. Once those breakdowns are more solidified you will start to get PvP changes introduced, because you don’t want a constant back and forth between those teams.
Hm?
The changes to Wither including the bugs are not PVP related but for all content.
Then they shouldnt be allowing these to scale into PVP just saying
What exactly are you talking about?? The ability was bugged double dipping into several talents from destro talent tree seemingly trippling its damage. It was nerfed due too much damage, they found out it was due to a bug, fixed the bug and provided some buffs.
Anything that happens currently in beta is tuning for raid until they figure out the damage scales, there shouldnt any mention of any other mode till things get sorted out.
Now once tww comes out and two weeks after they can start the 1st set of tunes from that.
Triple huh? so a loss of 1.5M is triple? Huh guess I need new fingers and learn to count lol
