Downloaded the pre-launch content.
Opened my main and the quest "News from Talador (spelling?) was there as well as the one for the mole machine.
Opened one of my alts and these quests aren’t there.
How do we get the new content?
Currently we just have the new talent trees and new UI
Evoker, the invasion events and the Ulduman dungeon come on the 15th of nov.

That explains it, but now I don’t know why it game my main two quests to Draenor.
Probably just leftover things you never did honestly, I get quests tossed into my log all the time.
Bad news OP… supposedly the new content doesn’t actually come out until November 15 at the earliest
So that means ~2 more weeks of content drought/nothing to do

Maybe the game will become playable again on Nov. 15.
Right now, I can’t use the portal from Dalaran to Stormwind. It sits there for almost 5 minutes before disconnecting me. Using a Hearthstone takes over 4 to complete.

Sounds like a latency problem with your internet.
Repair your install and/or put your OS/game on a nvme.
That was my first thought.
But I switched to WOTLK Classic and it played fine.
You know, I had that same experience with latency disparity just a couple days ago. So maybe there’s more to it.
Seems to be gone now though, I’m back to normal latency.

its probably a corrupted install then, run a repair on it. or worst case do a full reinstall.
It may be certain providers. I forget when but anyone that came thru a certain isp couldn’t get in.
Word on the street is they delayed the event and evoker (to Nov. 15) due to bugs. Not sure if thats true though.
They game has been installed for awhile and was working fine. Now it doesn’t.

My latency has been absolute dog crap since the patch was downloaded.
I lag in cities and loading screens take longer. My combo spenders don’t work and I have to spam the button to make them work eventually in groups. My combo points don’t reflect correctly when I’m in the middle of nowhere by myself.
something could have gone wrong with installing the patch. doesn’t hurt to try validating the install. worst case, it doesn’t fix it but you know for sure its not an issue on your end.
Validated the install. Got stuck in the “Scan & Repair” hell hole for 6 hours.
Finally bit the bullet and did a clean re-install of the World of Warcraft Launcher. Now, every time I try to port to Stormwind, I get booted with a “WOW51900319” error.
WOTLK Classic still plays fine. Makes me seriously doubt whether I’m going to buy the upgrade for Dragonflight.
