So… I’m excited about the new xpac. As I usually am about most of them.
I just was wondering if anyone can provide me some clarification on this upcoming one.
During Cataclysm I thought the Dragon Aspects lost their powers and were just now regular dragons at this point and we have been killing dragons of all colors and type since the beginning.
So what’s supposed to be the point of this? Aren’t dragons now no longer immortal or they aren’t the primary protectors.(Since I guess we are now? Not sure…)
Then there is also near total genocide from the DKs for their class mount in Legion. Also confused on if this will be connected to DF?
I just don’t understand how this is supposed to be so grand and amazing when dragons have pretty much been getting curb stomped into the ground for all this time. They kind of seem weak and like a minor annoyance to us at this point.
I apologize if this sounds dumb, I’m just confused.

Dragons will always rule and i think we have been away for far to long in shadowlands that something happened that the dragon aspect is needed once again and dragons need to rule once more but thats just MHOP
i am not 100% sure but i think our actions in the shadowlands… something something… magic… and um the dragonflights are reborn and umm now theres a council of dragon guys who are in charge and ummm that statue guy who rang the bell like woke up the goodness of dragons again or something bro and now its all good and WE get to be dragons! makes perfect sense to me.

if u followed the ardenweld night fae story we essentionally revived the aspects power with ysera durin the campaign
It sounds to me like you sit in on Blizzard’s creative brainstorming sessions
F*** i forgot about that we brought her back
Yeah, wasn’t a super fan of this xpac so I didn’t really follow the story. I knew she was revived but didn’t know it reinstated the powers of the other aspects.
But she is stuck in shadowlands isn’t she?
I suppose changing to her sexy elf form and walking through the portal in Oribos hasn’t occurred to her yet.
she might be but if her awakening again would be a A big ball of wibbly wobbly, timey wimey stuff then it could awake them
Remember, it was Wrathion, a dragon, but in human form that opened N’zoth with his dagger. He is the son of the dragon that caused the cataclysm…before N’zoth’s death, there is a line where Wration said, “I will not allow my Dragonflight to be corrupted. Nefarian and Onyia remains must be destroyed”. So, this must be very much related to “Dragonflight” expansion. They are good and evil drags anyway.
I expect a big part of Dragonflight will be about restoring Alexstrasza’s powers, and helping Wrathion, Merithra and Kalecgos become the heirs to their respective dragonflights.
Nozdormu… we’ll have to wait and see. Some people are already speculating that if we expect he’s going to go evil/crazy eventually (from End Time), DF could be when that happens, in which case we could help overthrow him and install a new Aspect (probably Chromie).
Personally hoping for Murizond to go back in time, revive Galakrond, bring him to our current timeline in a massive raid even cooler than Deathwing’s.
Loooooooots of dragons bite the dust, Nozdormu gets severed from the timeline and sent back into the heyday of Xal’atath’s Black Empire.
We, the heroes of Azeroth must go back in time, (Next Expac) with the newly appointed Dragon Aspects to undo the damage of Murizond and safeguard the outcomes that kept the timeline from bending back upon itself and cause an erasure of key protagonists/antagonists along the skeins of fate.
