Confused about how to obtain Drake's Crest Fragments

I’m trying to figure out how to get more stacks of the Drake’s Shadowflame Crest Fragments to make more Crests. Wowhead article indicates you need to do +5-10 mythics (Ruby, Algethar, etc), and so I did 3 and didn’t get a single one (In timer, looted Chest at end).
Then I went to chat and someone said that it’s wrong and you need to do +11. So I did a +14 Algethar just now and nothing.

I’ve been stuck on a stack of +10 fragments for the past 3 hours and I can’t seem to get more. What am I doing wrong?

Well, do objectives and rares and the weekly objectives in the new zone to get ungodly amount of Unearthed Fragrant Coin and then set up a tent near Spinsoa. It is the good old hamsterwheel-spinaroonie method mastered by Blizzard.

Me personally I delete those coins, but good luck.

I’ve been getting 1 fragment for every rare I kill in the new zone. Can’t get them from M+ until next week.

I’ve killed like 100+ rares since Tuesday. Each one drops a drake fragment. It’s not exactly a quick way to get them, but ATM it’s one of the only ways.

M+ players wont really need to waste their time with Drake crests. They are an upgrade item up to 424. Next week you should be getting higher crest from your runs.

Drops from M+ don’t start until after Tuesday’s patch. The only place to get Fragments now is in Zaralek Caverns (all the one-time quest rewards, weekly quest rewards, and grinding out rare spawns).

With the exception of one-time quests, there’s a cap of 150 Fragments this week, which increases by another 150 Fragments every week following.
