Confused about guides telling me to craft weapon. How to get gilded crest?

Most guides I’ve read/watched are telling me to craft an item with my spark at ilvl 675. However, this requires an Undermine Gilded Enchanted Crest.

I went to the vendor, and this takes 60 of the red crests. I thought maybe that people were killing Gallywix on Normal and it rewards that crest - but it’s actually the Runed crest for that quest (lower ilvl).

So what are these people suggesting in the guides? Do I use my sparks to craft a 645 item, and then somehow upgrade it later? Do I need to wait to craft until I have the gilded crest? Is that how it works?

Do I need to use another spark to recraft it once I have the enchanted gilded crest? This system is so confusing.

Gilded crests come from high level content. Tier 11 bountiful delves, heroic gally, mythic raid, mythic + 7 or higher

You can recraft and it doesn’t require a new spark

You can get 31 crests a week from delves, so technically you can make a 675 next week pretty easily

If you did heroic gally/mug yous have enough gilded cuz they drop it on heroic

But you can just make a weapon now and upgrade it later, you don’t need a new spark to re-craft weapons only a small amount of the materials used

Yea, you get 7 gilded from an 11 3x a week, and 10 from your treasure map if you do it on a higher difficulty as well
