Some people say you can invite people from different realms if they are able to contact you or standing right in front of you. However, each time I do that it says "player not online" something like that.
The server I play is on Dalaran. I checked other threads but they were outdated by a year. Could anyone clarify the current information about this?
Thank you for your time
The server you are on, Dalaran, is not connected to any other realms. https://realmpop.com/us-dalaran.html
Because your server is not connected, you cannot join guilds on other realms. You're likely seeing other people in cross realm zones(CRZ). Those people you can chat and group with, but you cannot trade or mail them things. They'll show up like name-*server.
If your realm was connected, other people in your server cluster would show up as name-#server. On connected realms, you can do everything you would with someone on your actual server, join guilds, trade, mail, share and auction house. For example, US Anetheron is connected to US Altar of Storms, US Magtheridon, US Ysondre. But if they see someone from another server not connected to theirs, they don't share resources and can't join guilds, etc. It comes down to the difference of # or * before the server name.

You can /invite your BattleTag friends to a group no matter what realm they are on (within the same region). When you invite your friend to a group, one of you (usually the lower level) will be pulled to the other realm and you will play as if you were both on the host's realm. This can be important if one of you is on a PvE realm and one on PvP.
COuld someone confirm this is true?12/28/2015 10:21 AMPosted by DrozilYou can /invite your BattleTag friends to a group no matter what realm they are on (within the same region). Yes, it is true. Same goes for any group found in the group finder. Just because you can quest together doesn't mean you can now join the same guilds on the different realms, that still only works if your realms are connected. But I can quest or do dungeons with my friends on other realms no problem.
Although this information hasn't changed, it's good form to start a new question when you have one. This question/answer are almost a year old and a lot can change in a year!
why cant i cross realm guild invite my server is shuhalo and im trying to join a friend on the server stormrage but im not getting any guild invites whats wrong
Shu'halo is connected with Eitrigg. Stormrage is not connected with any other realms. You would have to initiate a character transfer to Stormrage to join his guild. As the second largest server, Stormrage is unlikely to merged with any other servers at any point in the near, or not so near, future.
Is there a list of which realms are connected to what other realms?

It's best to make a new thread for a new question rather than necroing an old one in the future, okay?

Please read this thread. You cannot join a guild cross server unless the servers are connected. Baelgun and Nordrassil are not connected. All the information you needed to answer your question is in this thread.

Actually no not everything in the thread answers all questions. Wyrmrest Accord is not lists on any of the blizzard posts. Even after hours of searching i still can not find who is attached to WrA. I know its in the Emberstorm Battle Group, but have yet to find a definitave XX is attached to WrA
That's because Wyrmrest isn't connected with any other servers. If it was connected it would've been on that list.01/19/2018 02:03 PMPosted by YamadevEven after hours of searching i still can not find who is attached to WrA.
does anyone know if the realm stormrage is still not connected to any other realm or a way to find out?

Connected realms share a forum, so a quick way to check is to scroll down to that section of the main forum page.
Currently only the low pop servers were connected. If they ever decide to go mega-server or connect high-pop servers to equalize faction imbalance, there'll be months of announcements and discussions to find in a Google search.
To view connected realms, you can go to the main forum page and scroll down through the list of forums.
At the bottom of the list will be button to Show All Forums.
Hit the button to see all realm forums.
At the bottom of the realm forums list will be realm forums for all connected realms. The realm forum name will list the connected realms in that group.
