Conflux of Elements

Been trying to utilise this to its full potential. I’ve noticed its conduit buff says increased damage while channelling. I’m trying to work out if this applies to spells already up e.g. Moonfire when channelling or to spells cast during channelling. It looks visually to interrupt the channel if you cast some e.g. Starfire while channelling.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

The conduit buffs only the spells casted while channeling. I.e those 16 spells have 15+% more damage. It will also stop the channel if you press any other action button besides movement, yes. Let it do it’s thing before trying to attack.

FYI, Wild Charge will NOT break the channel.

Thanks.

I’ve just read also it buffs any active spells aka dots that are applied but only for its channel duration.

Yes, it gives a buff “while channeling.” I believe this does dynamically buff everything currently active. It will however not snapshot.

If you’re trying to maximize that 4s channel damage amp, you apply your DoTs, use Force of Nature (its why some online guides say this talent is viable for Night Fae only) and Fury of Elune immediately before starting your channel. Everything that is currently active prior to the start of Convoke will be given the damage amp. Keep in mind that their damage will only be buffed for the 4 seconds you are actually channeling Convoke.

I did try to Full Moon into a Convoke to see if that works, but it doesn’t. Full Moon travel time is too short to try to cast it and then immediately Convoke for the damage amp. You may be able to cast a Wrath? Not sure if its worth the hassle for that one though.

Fury of Elune and Force of Nature’s 1 min CD align perfectly with Convoke. You use it every time with Convoke and you get another use of them between Convokes.
