This essence seems like its gonna be terrible for DH in PvP while most other classes are gonna use this 100% percent of the time. Giving mana burn or reverse similar to how DK gets necrotic would make it much better and actually a viable choice.

Right now, it seems like Essence of the Focusing Iris is the major essence to use, so it’s rather moot.
You can talent into that, though! It’s really great, if you decide against going manaburn.
