players screeching about homogeneity of having to use the striders to WW…something the bugs just do …and replace it with the homogeneity of EVERY mount WWing, which is even more absurd than a creature thats DESIGNED to do it, then using some lame ‘de evolution’ crap to ‘explain’ why my strider went mentally defective and forgot how to WW.

And then they followed up this great concern by…making an expansion which barely had any water at all, and one zone with large bodies of water in which it’s impossible to submerge yourself.

Flying makes the overworld just sooo empty …
there is no real War between the factions because all are just flying from A to B…
there is no danger of traversing. I guess you could say the birds and Air enemies are a danger, if you would get into their Aggro range.
I just gotta say, you guys are kind of wack. The flying looked so fun like GW2 flying and then you go on over to GD and everyone is like “NO FLYING CONFIRMED THIS EXPAC IS GOING TO SUCK WOW IS DEAD”

The original announcement that had people quitting was going to limit the usability of waterwalking mounts to the content they were earned in. So the wod mount would only work in Draenor and the mop mount would only work in Pandaria.
The reason they gave was they wanted to use water currents as a mechanic. But come Legion, the only thing that used water currents was one treasure chest floating in a stream. They removed the ability to use the utility of waterwalking mounts over one chest in Highmountain.

Based on history and war on flying yet we get an expac with dragon riding flying as a forefront feature.
Stop acting like a victim and a defeatist, this expac should be exactly what you want but with a creative spin on it.

There’s not a lot of war between the factions on the ground anymore either.
There’s not a lot of danger on the ground either if you just follow roads.

It’s a mini game that doesn’t use our mounts and basically deletes an ability for druids.
It’s also not going to allow you to fly right off the bat. It’ll be more like falling with style.

Yeah they didn’t say end of expansion at all. I was listening. They said not at the beginning and it’ll be earned like recent expacs and then mentioned how much people liked Zereth Mortis. They didn’t give any strict timetables.

That was so weird. I never noticed anyone complain about the water strider, except they didn’t want to do the rep grind to get it. It was like out of the blue Ion says something like, ‘Players are only using striders and no other mounts’. I’m like, ‘what??’.

I get why they felt that way though. The water striders were old expansion content that were giving a pretty hefty benefit in a much later expansion which is something that blizzards always been rather clear they don’t want people to feel like they have to grind old expansion things just to get a benefit in the new one. It perhaps wasn’t handled the best but I can totally see their line of reasoning here and see how it lines up with how they’ve pretty much always designed this game going back many years.

Beta players complained in BFA…ignored.
Beta players complained in SL…ignored.
Im sure they complained in WoD and legion too and were ignored.
They have a pattern of ignoring feedback till the subs drop so far that they cant ignore it anymore…then apologizing and promising to listen better next time.
I didnt stop trusting the ex because of anyones behavior but HERs.
ION and crew are why they arent trusted.
