It feels real bad to have a 25 Knowledge Point sink for Seams when so few Seams exist in the game. This branch of the knowledge tree should have been pruned in Beta or more seams need to be added. It will surely be the very last place I spend KP on very character that mines.
EZ-Mine nodes are just awful. Extremely long channel time to mine to get 1 or 2 pieces of ore. I know further KP investment will make them slightly better, but so far they are just really terrible. Frankly they should be completely removed. I highly doubt that will actually happen, so the compromise solution is to increase the initial ore drop rate.
EZ-mine nodes are great and if you don’t find them worth it, it’s effortless to simply fly right by them and to the next node with how plentiful gathering nodes are these days. There is zero reason to remove them and all adding more output on them is going to do is make people who don’t enjoy interacting with them (like you) feel even more “forced” to engage with the mechanic.
I do very much agree that there needs to be more seams though.

It does seem like EZ nodes should have yields like rich nodes instead of normal ones (they LOOK like rich nodes, and they’re a PITA).
Overloading them is profitable, though.
