With the upcoming launch of the WoW mobile game Arclight rumble, I can’t help but feel it’s kind of missing the mark on a mobile WoW game. Even a simple hero collector with copy pasta gameplay would’ve been better than what I’m seeing.
I’m going to try it but it looks very childish and dated. There’s so many good mobile games on the market and I don’t think this one is going to last. From a company like blizzard I was kind of expecting something amazing and I’m always eager to try mobile games releases from the US. Even something open world like genshin impact would’ve been pretty cool in a WoW setting.
Debby I wholeheartedly agree with you. My friends feel likewise.
However a point raised during our discussions is that this may not be targeted to us anymore given that most WoW players currently are 25-45 and looks towards a younger market.

I agree, they definitely could have picked a better genre for the next WoW mobile game.
After the unexpected success of D:I, I can’t really say this one isn’t going to be a success as well. Activision/Blizzard as a whole is very successful in the mobile market so I am sure the Warcraft IP will likely be successful as well.

That’s a yawn from me dawg.
I’d say it fell far short of Blizzards expectations and even further short of Diablo Fan expectations.
But well enough monetarily to call it “successful” from a business standpoint.

Why would you say that?
It increased their MAUs by 4 million in the last quarter and everybody stopped reporting revenue after they passed $100 million in 2 months.
Deep down people want money grab mobile games to fail, but DI likely exceeded expectations even for blizzard. There’s some weird denialism that goes on with that.

I don’t know what that means, but okay.
I had forgotten about that. My google skills did find a bunch of articles saying it was canceled, but the games website is still up so who knows.
Arclight rumble is still happening.
There was an entirely separate unannounced MMO set in the WOW universe that was mobile and got cancelled due to not being able to work out how the money would be split.
