I’ve been trying to import a talent build from Wowhead, but copying and pasting does not work. There must be a procedure I’m missing. Could anyone explain, please, in terms an idgit can understand?https://d38bqls1q93fod.cloudfront.net/en/wow/images/emoji/twitter/woozy_face.png?v=12

But, how do I copy and paste it? I usually just click and select “copy”, then go to where I want to paste it and select “paste”. That does not work with these strings and I cannot figure out why.

Sharing a build involves a string of letters. This is what you want to PASTE into the “import” option of the talent pane (default key N).

A third party site like wowhead should offer this string of letters to allow players to import their build.

The codes you want to copy look like this

  • Export the talents on the website.

  • Copy the character string that’s shown.

  • Tab into Wow.

  • Go to your talent tree in game.

  • Bottom left. Click, “Import”.

  • Paste the string.

  • Click, Ok.

Think that should work.

Now this isn’t a slight against you, but in case you’re unaware:
Copy is Ctrl+C
Paste is Ctrl+V

Those should alow you to copy the code once you highlight it on the website, and then you can paste it into the game.

I spent 3 1/2 hours helping a former STEM teacher unscrew her addons folder and her game install and she was unaware that you could type a URL into the top bar in Google Chrome.

People are weird.

Instead of clicking copy, try highlighting the string and CTRL+C, then open WOW, Import and CTRL=V.

Hitting CTRL button and C will copy. CTRL and V will paste.
