Me and my buddies want to actually put the effort in pvp in SL with the noble goal of getting the glad mount in the coming expansion. We are somewhat not that great in pvp, especially in 3s, like we play like real lfr people in 3s, but we want to improve and get good at pvp and brag about our achivement when we hit that point. We have alts at the ready to play different comps and hopefully blizz wont add unaltfriendly system in SL like essence and corruption we had in bfa that just kill alts.
So here i am to ask the big intellectuals cuties in here for some comp recommendation that would be great for ape brain keyboard turners players to start learning and get better.
Iâve always found cupid and jungle to be pretty easy. Scooby doo cleave as well.
I donât really recommend rogue caster for new players. Rogue has the highest skillcap for melee, and is only trumped by mage when it comes to the casters. If you must play rogue, for new players I think pairing it with a hunter or Ret paladin would be the easiest.
I guess Rogue Ele/Lock/Spriest/Boomkin wouldnât be too hard to play, but definitely not Rogue Mage, that is incredibly unforgiving.
Played with a friend who would mess up burst windows in goes and break blinds a lot. Donât recommend (âas a noob friendly compâ).
11/10.
Now to actually attempt to respond to this thread, I donât have any real advice. I would say to play a bunch of viable S/A tier comps and see which ones you like. See what classes you guys like, and try to compose comps off of those classes. You can try to get to 100ilvlish and q some 3s at a low level and see which comps you like the most.
People in this thread will probably talk about what comps are easy for them which could be hard for you guys to play, so I donât entirely recommend to go for what others say is easy (for them).
RLS (rogue lock shaman) and thug cleave (rogue, hunter, healer, usually disc priest) and rogue/spriest/healer will probably all be solid comps for you to run, like others have said you should avoid rogue/mage comps as they require pretty solid execution compared to others listed
Well you guys may be new to PvP, but if youâre highly intelligent people in general you may be able to play Rogue/Mage/X. An advanced math degree is a plus.
If one of you is willing to put the time in to learn mage rmx is def your best bet.
Comp has been dominant every expac since the dawn of time in one form or another and despite what some people may tell you it really isnât any harder to play than any other comp esp at at late season glad levels.
honestly walking dead (dk ww) is a fairly strong comp that requires very little setup for kills outside of grip>legsweep>cleave burst.
Basically a kill window every time leg/grip is up
best to not keep changing comps. Pick an s tier comp and keep playing it and get good at it. talk after every loss and figure out what went wrong and how you could have countered it. that being said thug cleave (rogue/hunter/x) is going to be very very good this season and is semi noob friendly.
RMX 100% worth investing in
the skill ceiling is really high but rmx does so well into so many comps by default and the tools so so powerful that the skillfloor is typically extremely low
probably similar tier to low dh or dk cleaves as far as skill floor goes
esp if youâre interested in assass
obviously sub is better rn but since at least wods3 assass has been extremely easy and competitive whenever rmpal is good
also hunter comps
not because theyâre low skill cap but if youâre starting out and want to learn hunter âgoâ windows are super straight forward
trap is super easy to land and generate pressure off of consistently once you get the hang of your windows
cupid is a lot more forgiving than jungle and itâs likely harder to find a good feral than it is to find a good ret
otherwise dk/dh cleaves are SUPER easy to hop into
tsg wwdk and dhdk are all super forgiving and straight forward and will get you pretty far with very minimal required from you skill-wise
this and rmx are likely your clearest easiest paths to glad
but iâd suggest though really getting into rmx or hunter comps though if you want to genuinely play the game well and understand why youâre winning
Youâll get rewarded far more than most other comps youâll pick up as you guys improve at your classes imo
I donât think itâs terribly hard to pick up nowadays either
There are really simple comps like Dk cleaves but youâll find it more awkward in the long run to even understand what caused a win or a loss. Generally those types of easy to pick up cleaves are always nice on paper but ideally you need something thatâs simple to pick up but you can get rewarded along the way as you make improvements.
