Maybe I am too used to convenient travel in a game, but I just spent two hours getting back to Kul’Tiras after lodge stoning to Stormwind and had to look up exactly how to get back there. Definitely regret trying this game. The travel time is absolutely insane and makes the game completely a time burner. Plus what the f*** is newcomer chat?? Completely dead chat that makes the game feel dead as hellllll I would rather have a community general chat like New World where you can ask experienced players questions. I have no idea how people like this game lmaooooo

Why not just take the portal that’s in the Stormwind portal room?

You go to the mage tower, climb to the top and walk through the portal (the stargate looking thing). You will be in the portal room. Go forward to the T junction, turn left, take the portal directly in front of you at the end. Takes you to boralus.
I can’t say I’m familiar with that chat. I’m sorry to hear that. There is a general chat channel (press Enter to open chat, type “/1” then space and you will be in the channel), which if you are in stormwind just goes to others in stormwind. The more wide spread chat is trade chat. Same as before except “/4”. This one is connected to all major cities, so will reach more people. Technically it is only meant to be used for trade discussions, as the name implies. But simply asking directions probably won’t ruin anyone’s day. I can’t promise you won’t get some troll responses from people though. You know what people are like.

The irony to say this game has extensive travel after years of removing extensive travel in favor of portals.
