Hey all, been playing solo for a couple of days and I’m kind of stuck between understanding the game and being completely lost id like to eventually start raiding and not feeling like an idiot in dungeons so any advice or even a mentor would be 10/10
Details Damage meter from CurseForge is really useful for understanding what you’re doing in real time in your dungeon groups.
Deadly Boss Mods is very important for raiding / endgame content, keeps tabs on big abilities and alerts you during different phases of a fight.
Finding a decent social guild will help out tons, as many of us have been playing since launch and have a wealth of information regarding various dungeons / classes.
Icy-Veins is another good source (or WowHead) for entry level builds for your character / classes.
Warcraft is a fairly casual game, so questing in between Dungeon queues will usually get you to the endgame fairly quickly. Dark Moon Faire and the Anniversary Bonus (EXP Buffs) are useful if they’re available. Try getting two gathering professions (Mining / Skinning or Herbalism) and sell what you collect as you go. Sell any item that isn’t gray quality and says, “Bind on Equip,” on the Auction House, plenty of opportunities to make gold.
If you have a hard time beyond that, I’m usually on during the evenings (6-10:30) and you can reach me as Mortigore or Rattlehead#1135 (Btag).
My suggestion would be to find a good guild Horde side. Their are a number of them that make themselves known on the forums here. Others not so much. Find one that works for you. A good guild will help you out and teach you the ins and outs of the game.
When you start running dungeons, stay DPS, even if it’s not your thing. It’s a good route because then you don’t have to worry about healing or tanking. You can just relax, enjoy the story of the dungeon, and enjoy getting to just play it.
Hey there Brazzle,
A few of our wives and friends recently picked up WoW for this expansion. More than welcome to join and learn with a group of us who have played since launch.
