Completed The Might of Kalimdor, but did not receive Scepter of the Shifting Sands

This is a waste of time, but a GM asked me to do this. I completed the quest The Might of Kalimdor which is supposed to grant the actual Scepter, but no scepter was given. My friend, who did the brutally long chain with me, got the Scepter no problem.

I mistakenly thought I’d be able to go to Silithus and get the Scepter later, and thus completed the next quest in the chain: The Treasure of the Timeless One

I have tried going back and talking to Anachronos but no go.

I’m aware this quest is over 20 years old and is about to get removed from WotLK Classic as we move to Cataclysm, thus making reporting this pointless, but since a GM refused to grant me the quest item that I was not rewarded with and suggested I make this bug report, I’m doing so.

You can also try Customer Support, they sometimes help (altho they may just suggest a ticket). Was your inventory full when you completed The Might of Kalimdor?

Yeah, got no where with customer service. They told me to do a bug report.

I think my bags might have been full, yes. I assumed I’d get the Scepter in the mail, but no. Customer service also told me item restore wouldn’t work because I never got the item in the first place.

In the end, it doesn’t matter because I still get the Feat of Strength when Cata hits. But I still want the Scepter even if it doesn’t do anything.
