Yeah, the BG ragers always seem to have a lot of time to type.
Did we play two different mops?
LFR as far back as the beginning would have things like this.
Cata:
Spine of death wing? Yeeted. Final death wing? Don’t get left behind or you die.
Mop:
Elegons platform disappearing and reappearing.
Standing behind in the bug spray between platforms in heart of fear.
Getting belly flopped.
Use the feather to go to nests in jikun.
durumus happy fun time maze now with more downtime while the remaining 8 players do all the work.
Getting blown off or not doing quadrant right on final boss.
“don’t hit naz in defensive stance”
Opening boxes correctly on both sides in spoils of pandaria.
Correctly clumping and spreading on thok.
Doing conveyor belt on the goblin.
Avoiding the rolling balls on Garrosh.
Picking up your buff on Garrosh intermission.
I’m sure I could think of plenty of other mechanics in lfr for other expansions too.
“stack here to get pushed to the next platform” is hardly a big step up from pandaria lfr imo.
Also, now that lfr is featuring tier gear, op trinkets and the occasional broken weapon (rip hunters, praying for your rare drop) there’s plenty of reason to run lfr for gear if you’re not running normal.
It’s LFR. Where would they have seen this mechanic before?
It’s not in any quest up to this point.
It’s not in any WQ up to this point.
It’s not in any dungeon up to this point.
There is NOTHING for a “newbie” player to know what to do with this.
And I’m tired of this game EXPECTING people to use a 3rd party site to know what to do, before they even do it.
Why do we have to waste the time and effort of 15-20 other people to call it “content”? STOP WASTING MY TIME!
Instead, you could make this a learning opportunity by designing it exactly as I suggested.
Videos.
Read the rest of my post. gg
Why ?
You want LFR to be a raid or not ?
If you do : videos. Mythictrap. Wowhead guides. Ask a raider who’s done it before.
This is what raiding has always been. Either you wipe mechanic by mechanic as you learn, or you stand on the shoulders of giants.
Anything else is just wanting LFR to not be actual raiding. It barely passes off as raiding these days already, does it need even more stigma against it ?
Dungeon journal.
The easiest way to win LFR Razegeth before max det stacks is just telling people what to do. You can even just copy paste the raid journal lol
FOR THE KNOCKBACKS??!!!
ahahahaahahahah
Oh you were serious?? You’re more daffy than the guy before you! You guys should take your act on the road!
Good stuff!! ahahahahahaaaaaaaa
Last LFR I went into there was a warlock who was using wands to auto attack the boss, stood there and got thrown of the minute the wind went out, the moment I asked to kick the AFK player and called his name he started chatting and pretending they were not AFK, they still got kicked.
It may be LFR, it may be ‘easy’ mode raiding, but that does not mean players can flat out be stupid about it and completely ‘ignore’ the mechanics and “Oops, I fell” just to be carried. We are not dumb, we will notice a player who is obviously trying to die and be carried and call them out.
Yes, for the knockbacks.
Very first entry for Raz is Hurricane Wing and it tells you exactly, players are pushed away and suffer 6,648 nature damage every 0.5 seconds for 3 seconds.
Everything you need is in the journal, I don’t even use external sites anymore and haven’t in years, I just read the journal, it’s not hard.
It not fun unless you make it to 10 stacks of determination. Sylvanas fight wasn’t fun either unless you had that many. And static electricity makes my hair frizzy
Cool. So you can just stand anywhere, right?
ROFL
The DJ is USELESS for this. HOW MUCH damage it does… doesn’t help
AT ALL.
LOL
You’ve never read the journal have you? Like, ever? The spells are ALL listed and mostly in chronological order.
The second spell in the dungeon journal is: Static Charge: Creates a Static Field at the victom’s location.
And the third spell? Yep, Static Field: and reduces movement effects on players standing in the area.
Just because you cannot figure out the spells by reading the journal and dying a few times does not mean it’s useless, many players are able to figure it out from just the journal and a few test runs.
How? Can’t do basic math? 6,648 every 0.5 seconds for 3 seconds, which is 6648 x 6 = 39,888, if you can’t even figure that much out no wonder the journal scares you.
Today was my first time trying to fight and clear Raszageth. It took me about 3 raid groups to finally clear, with the last (and final) group taking up most of my time due to repeated leavers and having to reform.
But once the right people were shuffled in, it was pretty easy. The progress was steady and substantial. I made it until the final phase on what would end up becoming a clear (and around 20%) before dying, which is pretty good for me since I hadn’t even seen the last couple of phases prior to that.
It was still close though, with about 9/25 still alive when she got down to around 17%, but they did it. It usually takes me a few attempts to get the hang of various mechanics. I’m not perfect, but I’m a fairly quick learner.
These things require teamwork, but I do feel that a lot of people expect perfection just because it is at base difficulty. In LFR, perfection is usually not going to happen. Sure, some simply won’t learn no matter what is said or done, but there are still those who just need a minute to learn. Patience is a virtue that many do not possess.
It can be pretty fun / entertaining at times though! As an LFR hero i usually just sit back and chuckle. The boss always dies in the end
+hands out a little more rope for you to hang yourself+
You don’t even know what the actual issue is… and you just spent 5 paragraphs proving it more and more with each one.
gg
DBM literally screams at you to stand in the middle of the platform
yikes, reported
Never understood why people leave after first wipe in LFR
Do you really think the next group is gonna be any better?
Especially if you already have a couple determination stacks.
I’ve done Ras on 8 alts so far and, whiles its been a marathon, we’ve been able to complete it. That said, I’d be very surprised if they didn’t make some changes to improve (remove) some of the mechanics at some point.
Not reasonable.
