This new game mode is complete garbage. Devs dedicated time to do this and iuts just flat out a fortnite rip off. This is WoW, an MMO If you want to make this a side thing cool. But trying it to wow is just bad, its bad faith and bad judgement cause you Devs didnt have anything to put out inbetween. This was not worth the time spent on it. Stick to WoW and MMO’s.

Agreed. Played my first game dont see myself playing more. The winners of my match did so by hiding or running away until the storm was so small they couldn’t hide anymore.
They could have made druids, paladins and shamans open to all classes with this much dev time.
There’s literally NOTHING in wow itself to do. How this is marketed as a wow 10.2.6 “patch” i have no idea.
If you’re not playing plunderstorm the game is literally just as boring as it was yesterday.
Season 4 looks boring af. Probably time for me to unsub until TWW

Honestly, I am kinda regretting pre ordering war with in if this is the way they plan on taking things. I am also starting to think they Withheld info and PTR not to enhance hype, but to avoid backlash due to it being a Bad Fortnite rip off.

Ditto, i played 2 matches, got 4th and 2nd, i found it boring as hell
this is just some FOMO crap to increase player retention before the quarter, can’t believe anyone in their right mind at blizzard suggested spending dev time and resources on this instead of something else thaat would be integral to the game
a new bg? no
a new dungeon or two for the upcoming rotation? no
a new affix for M+? no
a new raid? no
we got this crap, a fomo event that is done better elsewhere

I gave it an honest try, but I truly do not understand what this is. There appears to be a circle of lightning slowing bringing players close and closer… random crap to pick up… god awful controls… abilities without numerical values on them, so you have no idea how to determine if what you are using for damage actually does damage… what is this? WHY is this?

It was probably ill-advised for them to make this game mode knowing full well that their audience is mostly boomers, but I think it’s a neat idea. Let em cook.

Being hunted down right after the game starts is super cool. Had this happen 4 games in a row.
Only way to get plunder is to hide in the back somewhere, gathering supplies.

I think it’s a little unfair to call it complete garbage. It’s not something I enjoy, but I did give it an honest try. It’s something different and I’m sure there are a fair amount of people that will have a lot of fun with it. I am a little disappointed that it’s not an event taking place in the normal game but as a stand alone game that just happens to be linked to the character selection screen. It feels like a beta test of sorts, and I’m sure they’re paying attention to how many people will be playing. I’m not sure if their data will be accurate however, because I’m not sure how many WOW players this will attract. I am a PVE only player, so I have almost no interest in this. My wife however greatly enjoys PVP, but she even tried it and had no desire to continue.
I do hope however that if people enjoy this, that blizz will take the opportunity to develop it into something bigger for those people. As for me I will just keep looking forward to the war within and continue to have fun with wow as it is.

not even that, its tecnically bad, look at the hitboxes, i tried this game mode, its just a mess, if they want to make a other game in warcraft or wow universe just launch an warcraft rumble 2.0 idk but putting it on our actual game is depressing
