How This Started…
Recently, I started delving into making a WoW RP question-of-the-day bot for the WCP and other WoW roleplay servers. I started testing roleplay question decks that were already out there and… well…
To put simply, they were awful. 
So, so awful. 
So heck it, we’re making our own.
The WrA QotD Bot Project!
Okay, WrA: Let’s make our own roleplay question-of-the-day deck. This will be submitted to the QotD Bot (https://discord.bots.gg/bots/713586207119900693) and not only available for all WoW roleplay servers to use, but also credited back to WrA. Since the bot is in 146k servers, it’s a great way to get Wyrmrest’s name out there.
What We’re Looking For (Examples)
Here are a few examples of questions so people have an idea of what we’re looking for:
- What unexpected muse gave you a character idea that you not only ran with, but it stuck?
- What’s a character idea you’ve had for years but never put on paper or into the game? Why?
- Which WoW race or class do you struggle the most with creating characters for? Why?
- For those using TRP or similar, how much detail do you like include, and of what sort?

We’ve collected 96 questions so far but our goal is 365 so it spans a year total. Let’s do this!

What is the hardest color to mog with that you would really like to use and why do you struggle with it?

Are there any character concepts you’ve come up with but felt you were unable to satisfyingly portray?
Are there any character concepts you feel you’re unable satisfyingly portray in-game?
Are there particular personality types or character archetypes that you favor; if so, which?
Have you written any custom factions or groups, for your character or otherwise?
Does your character possess any unique items; peculiar trinkets, signature weapons, etc?

Perfect! Thanks, guys. We’ll begin building the question deck tomorrow and will let you know when the first iteration is published. In the interim, keep submitting suggestions. Our goal is a new question a day or at least new questions every Monday - Friday. By the time the bot cycles through, the repeated questions will be fresher and also apply to new people and characters.

WoW Roleplay Question of the Day Bot is Out!
All WoW Roleplay Discord Server Admins:
We created a 135-card deck of World of Warcraft RP-themed questions! This now can be used on any World of Warcraft roleplay Discord server to regularly engage your community.
How to Set Up
- Add the QotD bot via
https://discord.bots.gg/bots/713586207119900693
- Run
/setup on your designated QotD channel.
/download the “World of Warcraft Roleplay Questions (WrA)” deck (see screenshot below).- Join the bot support server (
https://discord.gg/c9kQktCbsE) for more detailed info on how to adjust post frequency, time, etc.
More Questions Coming
Our goal was to make 365 unique WoW RP questions so it would last a whole year but because each question must be individually added to the bot, we needed to pace ourselves. More cards will be added over time!
Extra Info/Credits
Deck rating is PG, that way admins don’t have to worry about breaking any server ratings.
