So due to real life I haven’t played since Legion. I have still seen content creator videos and world first stuff and it seems to me like there is a lot of complaining about the state of the game. I am a casual player and just came back about a month ago. Playing through BFA on the Alli side I just have to say that I am impressed by the aesthetics and the amount of detail they put into the zones and Shadowlands is a continuation of that so far. Maybe people just need to slow down and enjoy the little things and not take themselves so seriously. Just my opinion.
No one ever complained about the aesthetics. The only reason why anyone still plays is because of the art team and any friends they made along the way. The complaining isn’t about that. It’s about the garbage borrowed power systems and the hilariously sad state of class balancing, pvp, rng drops etc.
Oh yea and since you’re a casual player, you should probably prepare yourself for the reaming you’re about to receive in 9.2. Blizz decided casuals don’t deserve even normal raid level gear anymore. So have fun with that.
With all due respect, you just came back so everything is new to you, most of us that are complaining have been playing since launch, it’s bad trust me but I still play it.
I appreciate your honestly but this is an uninformed opinion by your own admission.
Although I will say, most casual players should be able to enjoy the game, no problem.
And I agree, it is always nice to stop and smell the roses.
There was a song that used to go “Lean a lil bit closer, see that roses really smell like boo-boo, oooh” can’t remember who sang it though.
Outkast - Roses
Maybe if you had put up with the nonsense of BFA (which a lot of people greatly disliked, ex: heart of azeroth, azerite gear, etc - which also carried over from Legion with the artifacts, all useless in the follow up expansion), then watched them double down on each of these things … then you might understand why people are upset.
Give it time and report back to us in a year or so to see if you still have that “spark” of interest.
I lost mine two weeks into SL.
The music and art teams deserve a lot of phrase, always have. They never fail to deliver an excellent environment to play in.
On the other hand writers and whoever came up with the constant grind for resources that become obsolete shortly thereafter should be beaten.
Yea! They should be phrased as great!
Ha! That’s the second time I got you, Stompy! ![]()
Yea I slowed down to enjoy the game. I enjoy it more now only issue is figuring out wtf I want to play class wise.
Biggest complaint for me would be too much systems in sl as well as covenant imbalance. To me covenants should of been an aesthetic thing not one best for x spec. I’m sure they alread6 did some tuning to it already so it’s not as bad as before.
Or maybe just enjoy what you enjoy and don’t try putting out advice for people who have gripes with the game … it’s like when I keep seeing people tweet about a movie that gets a lot of hate ‘‘omgerd, why so much hate, I don’t get it’’.
People of all variety, like/hate or are indifferent to many things, sometimes that clashes with how you view things. That’s ok, and normal.
Doh. Require more coffee.
Aesthetics and artwork have never been the problem in the game.
Some of the biggest issues are:
- A lack of consistent storylines,
- Removal of content (you can’t play some of the most important quests in BFA),
- Borrowed Power
- Lack of account-wide progress
- and Gear Acquisition
If you check his achievements, so has he.
So you are excited for a whole one day of play time. Get to the actual game and get back to us after you have experienced it.
Until they realize there isn’t any content.
