Actually it has. I dont remember when but there was at least one other occasion where they credited accounts for extended downtime. I think on one occasion the game was offline for a day.

Well, now all of the cry babies get one more day to LARP like they are actually quitting before renewing their subs.
I have to give Blizzard a +1 for that. I’ve been so disappointed in them lately with lots of things, it’s really nice to see an olive branch from them.
