I think my tooltip suggestion would of been better served at launch but still shows how rushed this all was. Not to mention how badly the scaling was or that they didn’t think through the leveling and disparity between level 1’s and level 20s, 30s, 40s, etc apart from the little proverbial bone you get tossed through your renown levels.
I think finding the thing that lets you feel like you are at least enjoying or tolerating it is a good way to go. I’m not going to get my several 60’s through all this and so on; it’d make me go mad and probably last way beyond 10.0 goes which by then it’ll be pointless.
I think a tool tip would of helped and I would of hoped they’d give a less vomit inducing way to get those companions on alts in 9.2
I never had trouble collecting them all but I enjoy Torghast.
It may sound strange but I was kinda sad they all just chill outside waiting for you to grab them all when you jump to rank 40 on a new cov, I wanted to have a reason to go hunt them all down.
Well you and I are definitely different… I leave those torghast companions alone. I collected them on a couple of character, but have got to the point of no thanks… Simply because Blizzard kept throwing them at me as part of my renown. I wish I could release ones that I don’t want.

Oh for sure, it’s different when you enjoy Torghast.
I don’t have trouble with it; I just dislike torghast so it’s a pain in the butt.

The fact is the mission table early in the expansion was so poorly planned…
Anima was offered at a trickle… and in high demand… 1k, to get upgrades wasn’t so bad, but needing 5k and 10k, plus the souls…
Having just a few companions, put a lot of demand on the associate comps… and those of course was an average level, made getting new companions counterproductive, lowering the sidekicks usefulness.
Never mind Kyrian mission table sucked… meanwhile over at Ardenweld you couldn’t fail a mission.
Morale of the story… it was too little too late on the kyrian mission table, can’t speak for the others… most of the time, I was spending 12 anima to get back 30… a trickle.
And now, it’s just prep for 10.0. Augment runes for leveling, gold, and pet charms… waste not, want not.

Think everyone has content they dislike, for me its M+ and unfortunately they are trying to make it even more useful for gearing coming up here…
I dunno what the solution would be cause no one likes getting their content of choice axed or anything, maybe just much more separate progression?
Blizz tries to bribe/force players into other content too often imo.

Yup, their philosophy is that they want people to dabble in the three pillars [pvp, m+, raid]. I doubt they’ll move away from that. It’s a very segmented game that just has devs throwing whatever at the wall to see what sticks. Designing themselves against a wall and simply going through the motions as they do w/ BFA [since this is a more newer team].
Pretty much.
I’m not sure where I stand on purchasing 10.0.
The WoW token is the only thing that had me continue in WoW since I needed something to keep me occupied during these lockdowns and all that.
I do agree with your stance and view on the command table.
You can also get renown by chain-running Torghast, though, so it’s 2 birds with 1 stone.
When I start work on a new covenant, I just chain-run Layer 5 Torghast. Each run gives 1 renown, you can just run to the end and kill the boss (no need to kill trash or farm powers), and you can pick up companions along the way.

Oh, I kinda already know, calculated assumption, it will go exactly like the last 2… and newsflash for Blizzard, I’ve adapted to the new.
I’ll do exactly what I did in Shadowlands… play 2 months, enjoy leveling a main, see the new, start my alts, cover pathfinder 1, and then unsub… I’ll be back when pathfinder2, catch-ups, and I can get around timegated…
it’s a fact… when my main hits the time gates, I jump on an alt… and I won’t groundpound alts.
Yes, I have a steam account, and an Xbox… the days of WoW being the only game in town are long gone for me.
I don’t like Torghast and I’m not that good to just rush to the end

Wise assumption! … unfortunately
I’d love to see it turn around and be great for me but highly doubt it
Well, speaking of Torghast, that’s another too late, too little…
Yes, now it can be spammed… I have myself noticed level 5 seems to be the best, in terms of time and reward…
And I think most of my toons could Zerg it… I tend to hybrid tank class, cheesing in as much dps as I can… prot pally, blood Deathknights, veng dh, and of course BM hunter and Destroy witch…
The question of course, I play alts… not main 2, main 3, etc… my alts don’t need legendaries… I can already solo the Korthia 62s.
Truth, if the vessels didn’t cost so much gold, I would spam torghast for the legendaries…
Ironically I’m now using Torghast quite a bit while leveling alts which leaves me too burnt out on it to want to touch it at 60. So for now, I’m just using the 8-10 non-Torghast followers and it seems ok.

Well I suspect the 2nd legendary coming in 9.2, is gonna send a lot of people back to Torghast… some of those peeps gonna need replacing their belts.
I tried to take a 50 lvl alt into torghast [again] to try it out but seems too slow for the return [I don’t do it fast]. But I don’t blame you
, I’d be sick at even the thought of it after that much Torghast. I’ll see what I do; personally wanting to find some fun in all of this mess [SL and my alts since I haven’t bothered finding a main with how they mess up specs all the time]
At first I thought they were eliminating it all and just telling people cosmic flux in 9.2 will be the ‘it’ mat to get to craft/upgrade your legendary but I never saw rank 1-6 or w.e it is changed so Torghast it is again for some people

why do you need to have them all? why cant you just encounter them as chance makes it happen and be happy with less than minmax?
I just think its easier to get good at 1 thing then to try and get good at 12 things at the same time.
Ask yourself, are you truly a master of all those classes? Or just mediocre?
I’m happy with not playing SL. What is your point.
I’m not min maxxing anything, if anything the way I do things is the opposite; I’m merely pointing out what a redundant boring experience Torghast is and having companions there.
I’m talking about a fricking mission board. Go touch some grass, or snow.
i do mission table and I did not encounter your problem.
That’s fine. Everyone’s experiences CAN BE different. Psychology 101.
