I’ve been having this issue for several months, but my companion app won’t connect unless it’s via wifi. I’m certain this is not working as intended. Is anyone else experiencing this? I’m on T-mobile if that makes any bit of difference.
have you made sure that your app isn’t limited to Wifi only in data usage?
If for some reason the app was set to ‘WiFi only’, you will need to go into ‘Data Usage’ in the Settings app and look for apps with limited data access.
The app itself provides no option to operate only on wifi and i went to the wifi/data settings for the app and there are no restrictions in place.
It wouldn’t be in the app setting but in your data usage control
I’m having this issue, it works fine on wifi but nothing else. So I can’t use it when I’m not at home, but when I’m at home i don’t need the app.
I’m having this exact issue. T-mobile on a Galaxy S9. Tried everything,
There have been plenty of similar complaints regarding the companion app and T-Mobile in the past. Use the forum search function and search T Mobile. Here is one thread I recall.
I use a Oneplus 7 Pro on the Tmobile network and have never had an issue with the Companion App
I am still having this same issue galaxy S10plus will not connect on t-mobile
I’m on t-mobile, as well. Had the same issue. In one of the replies in your post was suggested to try a VPN, which I did, and I was able to connect using VPN.
