After updating the WoW Companion App, every time I try to select a character, it will pop me back to the login screen with an error of “This account is already logged in.” I’ve re-installed the app entirely, cleared my phone cache, and everything else I can think of, but even on a fresh install I get the same error.
I have the same issue.
I have restarted the phone, logged in again, tried selecting a character I’ve never used on the app before, and I still get this error.
I just started getting this error yesterday though.
Any chance you have managed to resolve it from when you originally posted this?
Unfortunately not.
Same issue here
Yep, just logged into the app and have the same error. Kicks me out right as I select a character. Tried to see if they meant logged into the game, and I was, so I closed out PC wow client and still said “This account is already logged in” on the app an hour later.
same issue
Same issue^^^^^^^
Same for me
I’m having this issue as well!
Hello hello, so i was having this same issue and I figured it out, the Battle.net account works as a complete unit so to use the app in its current version you must close both the game and your battle.net app from your pc.
Its very silly, but I guess its made for you to keep track of rewards when you are not playing the game.
I hope this works
Bumping this because I found it in a Google search. Impossible to use the Companion App now. I tried everything, including:
- Logging in and out of app
- Clearing app storage and cache
- Restarting phone
- Logging out of every Battle.net session from the website
- Making sure I wasn’t logged into WoW at the same time
- Restarting computer
Nothing has worked. I’ve given up and uninstalled the companion app.
you are a Genius:grinning:.
well i can not believe that you are Actually right. How this possible???
My computer will completely shut down when I go to work. And I can NOT use the app only because I did not log out the bottle. Net before I shut down the computer ??? doesn’t make sense.
But anyway my problem solved, thank you
I had to uncheck ‘Keep me logged in’ when starting the pc version of the battle.net app. Thanks for your reply because even after a few years, it’s still helping. It got me thinking in that direction. Surprised I have to do that even when the app is not running. You rock!
