With Comp Stomp back this week it got me thinking that it would be nice if they expanded Comp Stomp to Warsong Gultch.
Thinking about it Warsong Gultch and Arathi Basin pretty much covers all of the other battleground’s objectives combined where Arathi is control the node and WSG is capture the flag.
This would be a great way to get more people in BG’s imo.
And just take it out of the brawl and make it a training ground BG
I want to see AV comp stomp, and I agree it should be on the normal rotation and give a bottom tier honor set below or equivalent to crafted gear.
Since current comp stomp is better for honor farm, if it became permanent, it needs to be reduced and really meant as a training ground so that random BG’s remain favored for Honor farm.
I would hope an AV would be possible but not entirely sure. But having all 3 as comp stomps would pretty much covers all BG’s objectives/win cons.
players who enjoy comp stomp dont like pvp. why don’t you just ask for conquest points from hitting a target dummy because that’s where you’re heading.
What were those things called in BFA? Battlefronts? Because this seems similar to those.

I enjoy comp stomp and I enjoy PvP.
I just think its a great way to get the base honor gear fast and to farm marks of honor quickly as well as getting more people to try out PvP.
No, though I do think 25% conquest should be awarded for losing BG’s because it might solve the AFK problem when in a losing position.
Ya they really missed an opportunity to make them epic BG’s. I think Arathi would have been great as a 30 v 30 Epic BG.
This would be cool but very difficult to do technically. Comp stomp requires a lot of computing power and trying to scale that to AV would face significant challenges.
no. the best way to get a full set of blue PVP(player vs player not player vs AI) gear is to pvp before you hit 70.
people say they enjoy pvp then rush to 70 in gear from 2 expansions ago just to be a detriment to their team because “i have to start somewhere!”

It would probably be a bit harder and conventional methods wouldn’t work. We know that the bots can take nodes, and defend nodes. What would our modern AV players do when they go to IBT or SH and find a ton of defenders lol.
It’s the computing resources that become the major challenge. The AI to run the bots isn’t the technical stumbling block, however, there is some complexity in back capping and such. It takes a lot of compute power to run the bots. I think there was some dev feedback about this a few years ago.
Random BG’s and Epic BG’s aren’t rated so they don’t have a PvP ilvl requirement… they are intended for getting base honor gear.
It’s amazing the lengths that players need to go to to be viable in unranked, casual content.

Because that’s generally speaking Blizzard’s stance.
At least now adays with PvP ilvl you only need the base set blues as compared to a few expansions ago to not get insta killed with a 50+ ilvl gap.
And if you want people to have at bare minimum the base blue set all the more reason for more comp stomps so people can quickly the base set and hopefully learn the objectives

To be honest I do it also, they are my warmup match everyday LoL.
Even if you start at 70, you can grind the honor set in a matter of hours. I think it took me 5 or 6 hours total.
comp stomp should just a permanent new mode. also it should be made harder.
I also hate when it replaces the brawls because its not a real brawl.
Necroing this as its been 2 years and devs have been silent.
Only this past week learning about what Comp Stomp is and that AB rep is a free grind, I was able to finally get exalted.
I’ve been honored forever with WSG rep. WSG rep is SLOW…back in the days of 10-15 years ago, it was guaranteed to be on a rotation of every month you got bonus rep etc. and was popular. Haven’t touched WSG in years.
I would like to finish up my achievement with the exalted rep. Please make this a comp stomp.
(Wouldn’t need to ask for this if the devs had kept in the rep tokens for the 20th anniversary event that were in beta…since they want their in game metrics, make this comp stomp and let us finish out our WSG achievements that we started forever ago.)
