Please Blizz keep this or something similar in rotation it has been the first time it has been bearable and fun to gear an alt or a new player to grasp what to do (a little). An epic version would be awesome, an arena version as well could be great. Gives everyone an opportunity to at least get the base-level gear without getting smashed into the ground by a bored duelist lol Just me 2cents.
I am actually surprised an AI vs Player mode hasn’t already been added for PVP … sorry if this is a repeat topic.
PvP used to be on par or even slightly higher in terms of participation as PvE back in Mists and Warlords. You can’t get those kind of numbers without PvE players. The fact bots are what constitutes decent PvP in this expansion is pure garbage.
I too would prefer to keep the bot based comp stomp. It’s a nice way to get a few achieves and also learn the layout and objectives of various bg’s without the horrendous toxicity you usually get. I’d also like it extended to fill out a portion of alliance slots in ebg’s so horde can get faster queue times since right now we have to wait 40min+ for a pop while alliance gets pop in under 5min.
Let the remaining RMT glad boosters continue destroying ranked arenas if you want since that’s a dead game mode now due to them anyway, but at least save bg’s and ebg’s.
Southshore v Tarren Mill Comp Stomp was introduced and it was 40v40 so while it was a great farm for the BOTE rank 3, it was laggy as hell.
Changing it to 12 v 12 has been amazing. Such easy honor/marks of honor grind. Sorry you feel the need to whine about it but I’m pretty sure you’re probably a Karen IRL who whines about everything

even if PvP was the absolute best, the most balanced and fantastic gameplay its ever been, comp stomp would still be highly requested. plus, it’s mainly pve players playing it.

Comp Stomp is a nice alternative for those that just can’t be asked to PVP and keep up with that side of things, and deal with the environment of it all with people that no life it [if you aren’t on top of the pvp side of things, you’re practically good as gone]
I always thought they’d adapt the AI to more things.
I only dabbled in the Comp Stomp this morning and wish I had jumped in sooner.
Even if it’s against NPCs, it’s nice to be able to do a non-rated BG without having to grind out rated gear and still have a standing chance. It’s fun and quick, and I hope they bring it back soon.
You would be right. I look upon it as a pve event dressed up in Warsong Gulch clothing. It has zero to do with pvp really. In fact, Im not sure I agree with getting reputation and achievements for it, because it really isnt pvp.
However, Im happy to take the Renown boost on alts and would love to see similar things in the game to give us something to do and help the alts out.
There is like no pvp mode for casuals, bgs are just noob stomping arenas, which is Why I suggested a scaled pvp queue. You need to be a masochist to enjoy the current pvp system, literally grinding systems and other game modes just to be decent at a casual game mode. I made an alt during the event, it was nice to go against stuff you can kill, but normal bgs have characters like twice or more of your heatlh, and new alts can’t even break through the necrolord shields O.o…
To be fair I think it is fine as it is, as basically every other map has its own achievements and isn’t comp stomp.
Unlike BfA the highest reward we can get gear wise is 220 item compared to being able to indefinitely do the comp stomp until you’re caught up/unlock heroic raid level rewards from the weekly PvP chest.
I like the idea, but it needs serious tuning. I’m terrible at PvP , my gear isn’t exactly spectacular, and I have no problem coming out ahead in a 3v1 situation.
