Can we do something about half a dozen people sitting AFK at stables in Comp Stomp?

Right click report them AFK. Blizz recently hammered a number of classic AV zero dps/heals afkers who were āguardingā back nodes all game.
Same will happen here. But ya gotta report the afkers for it to get logged and establish a pattern of bad behavior.

Iām being completely honest when I say that I wish we had Deepwind Dunk rn.
No reason to queue comp stomp more than once to complete the quest.
Itās 13 conq a win. Thatās ~40 games to get a weekly cap.
Iām fully capped and fully geared anyway.

Some players, mostly non-pvpers, do comp stomp to collect the Marks for the pvp mogs. Itās legit if they like that. But AFK is not good and Blizz will hammer for it. So report the weasels.
Yeah, I have no issue with casuals who are legit moving and doing damage/heals.
Itās the guy who tucks away just close enough to the flag to not get auto reported, but far enough for the bots to ignoreā¦
Well, apparently they have some internal metrics, percentages and what not, for zero dps/heal games. Maybe some other stuff, too. Prolly if the afker get reported enough, it gets sent up and they look and if the line is crossed they get a vacation. We saw 2 weeks, doubling from there, recently for the AV afkers doing the āguardingā of back nodes.
Got the feeling it takes time, though.

Gotta report them I guess. Reminded me though that I have never seen people backfill into Comp Stomp. So far Iāve only had games where thereās one or maybe two AFK at any given timeā¦

Yeah, they should be over quick enough to not ever need a backfill.
Comp Stomp is over so fast that Iām surprised anyone would even pay attention to afkers.

A lot of people use Comp Stomp as a way to get their Honor Level 500 mounts. Yes, somehow, thereās still people who donāt have them. Now, with Vicious Bloodstones - Comp Stomp is even more valuable. I use Comp Stomp as a way to load up on Marks of Honor - to keep up on potions. Comp Stomp, like it or not, is the most popular Brawl.
If that wasnāt the case - Deepwind would have been fixed by now.
But the majority doesnāt care.
Who knows if PvP will be this beneficial as a gold maker again next expansion. Theyāre probably letting people take advantage of itā¦ while they can. Deepwind Dunk will be backā¦ eventually.
Why not? When 7 out of 15 players afk in ST and base and you call them out for being AFK, other players just label you a Karen. Cannot beat them just join them, go to mid cap it, chill and rack up free honors, nice and easy. I probably lost 1 or 2 comp stomps, but Iām not sure.

i did a bunch of build testing with comp stomp, im pretty sure i can take their whole team by myself, as long as a few warm bodies remember to cap flags it doesnāt make a bit of difference if half the team is afk at stables.
lets assume 450 honor per win, with a match taking 5 minutes of play time, 2 minutes of setup time, 2 minutes of queue time, thats 9 minutes of cycle time, or 5 games per hour, maybe you can push that to 6 per hour.
450x6=2700 honor per hour.
that is just enough to acquire and sell 1 bloodstone on the AH for ~5000g (currently, sometimes its a lot less)
now compare this to working, many min wage and entry level jobs pay $20 per hour or more, so you could try to get a part time job and make money, then use that money to buy a token, currently tokens are going for 255k.
255k gold per hour for flipping burgers vs 5k per hour farming bots.
Youāre using hardcore PvPers as examples. They probably have gold.
Iām using normal under-geared broke PVE/PvP players who want to make mindless goldā¦ while farming for their Honor level 500 mounts. Iāve seen many times people say theyāre playing Comp Stomp for Bloodstones.
I made 600k gold from the first week of Comp Stompā¦ and my objective was farming Marks of Honor. I didnāt need the gold. I have plenty. You act like most of these people have jobs. Mom isnāt letting them use her card for tokens.

I routinely burn the whole bot team on my prot paladin. Thatās not the problem - the problem is so few people are participating that a 5 minute 5-cap game is taking 20 minutes when NO one feels compelled to help.
Reporting is all well and good, doesnāt seem to be working.
Comp stomp was actually hard to get a 5 cap in that first one where the bots were overtuned. It was actually kind of fun, almost.
But now they were nerfed and we have better gear.
I always sit at ST and wait for the rogue to come, kill them, then go help camp them at the graveyard. I do this because that rogue or the feral always goes for ST at the start of every match of comp stomp Iāve done (granted itās not many as I find it pretty boring) and Iād rather sit there for an extra minute and kill them and move on rather than have to ride all the way back to recap ST.
The fact that a game mode exists where half a team can afk and still win the game in 5 min is the bigger problem. There is no āheavy liftingā involved in comp stomp 2-3 can currently wipe and farm the whole team, people are more than likely afking because theyāre bored.
Comp stomp shouldnāt be a brawl in the first place, maybe a nice intro tutorial for people to try out bgs.
