Hello,
TLDR; Remove www. from your community link and it will work
Technical Info:
We noticed the links generated in game were not working, they just went to an page can not be found browser error, not even the regular 404.
I have confirmed the following if you remove the www. subdomain from the community link it works, upon further investigation it looks like a server configuration issues.
both worldofwarcraft.com and www.worldofwarcraft.com point to the same dns entries
❯ nslookup worldofwarcraft.com
Server:
Address: 192.168.123.100
Non-authoritative answer:
Name: worldofwarcraft.com
Addresses: 3.226.142.166
52.86.114.69
nslookup www.worldofwarcraft.com
Server: pi.hole
Address: 192.168.123.100
Non-authoritative answer:
Name: www.worldofwarcraft.com
Addresses: 3.226.142.166
52.86.114.69
However when you browse to https or http://www.worldofwarcraft.com it does not work, as this traffic is going to the same server for both subdomain and none it’s likely a server configuration issue where the server is only expecting traffic from the FQDN and not the subdomain.
