Community Feast: Make it a "dummy free zone"

PLEASE disable any target dummy Toy during community feasts

PLEASE for the love of wow DISABLE the ability to drop any target dummy pet during the community feast. they are laggy enough with 300 players down there but to add to it by dropping 4 or 5 target dummies ruins the ability to get credit as the target dummies keep getting assigned tasks AND players sit there attacking them and dont attack the feast targets and cause way more lag. PLEASE disable them

Suspicion is that something to do with the training dummies and turnip punching bags that people drop in the feast area are causing this quest to bug. Big Kinook doesn’t give out any orders and makes comments like he’s targeting/talking to the Turnip punching bags.

So I have noticed since the changes I rarely see any defend against mob barely beat legendary (1) rarely legendary (2). Perhaps increasing the required amount of aroma was a mistake. Recently I have seen it so packed. But the more people there are the less orders there are. In fact I would expect more people to get that bar up faster. It’s impossible to do the weekly without having to come back numerous times over the week because Big Kinook doesn’t give out orders.

Rethink and Redo the Community Feast

Having 100s of people, mounted and afk, standing purposely on the tiny Pleeqi quest giver, and then tossing down turnips and punching bags to throw off targeting, is assinine. Make the area unmountable like you have any other areas, and dont allow for toys to be put down in the same location either. Its laggy as hell to begin with and this kind of crap doesnt help. Would also suggest: Moving quest giver Pleeqi away from the soup where everyone stands, porting away afk people from the soup area…

Community Feast Issues?

There is a bit of a bug. When it happens though, fly away from the event until it falls off your UI, and then fly back. As soon as you don’t see an order for a minute or so do it. It should fix it. I’ve had it happen when I was there while it started and when I flew in mid-way. You won’t get orders for some reason.

It is time to fix the feast

DF has been out for a month now. Once the NY is past, it is time to fix the feast. 12 minutes and one order, the soup quality is common because nobody is getting orders. Some simple stuff to do: Ban mounts within the entire feast area. Too many people are griefing on top of the quest NPC with vendor mounts Ban toys within the entire feast area. We don’t need the extra lag from 9 turnips. Figure out how to add phasing. Max 30 people or whatever per feast. Literally two tasks the entire feast, …

The dummies are annoying - but I tihnk it’s the crowd causing the lag issues and the quest giving to bug out.

I did one event where it was totally packed and got 2 communications to do things - which meant I couldnt complete the quest. A lot of people got 0 in this event and will have to come back - making crowding a re-occuring issue.

I swapped to warmode. Was not busy at all. You can’t pvp in the cooking area so it’s quite safe. Totally different experience - and I got about 20 tasks done.

It would be better if this area was instanced and restricted to a cap of say 20 people. The event was actually fun with the small number of people in warmode.

I have NEVER been able to complete the 5 assignments quest for this event. I’m sitting at 3/5 right now even after spending the whole 15 minutes at the event participating. Not one single time have I been able to finish it. This event is horribly designed. They need to totally rework the job assignments or just the entire event.

when theres 400 players and 300 of them are beating on the 4 or 5 dummys out there it contributes to the lag

Well, some good news on this front. It appears that the event is now instanced, primarily along faction lines. This was most likely aimed at reducing Lag below Elite 75. Which it has done quite effectively.

As a side-effect, it has also (at least so far) removed the idiot factor. In the last two runs, no anti-social behaviour has been seen. Possibly I may just be lucky, but given that there are now a limited number of people per Feast, it will be easier to identify and call out that sort of thing.

So, once again, the idiots of the world have had to prove me wrong. We made it to around 90% of the way to Legendary 2. Except that we had two punching bags down.

That has directly cost everyone potential loot and quality. Griefing 101.

And 1 dummy to cleave off actually makes the whole event much easier for a number of classes - no more needing to tab target, just roll your aoe rotation into the dummy.
