Community feast as weekly is a terrible experience

It only happens every few hours and lasts 15 minutes making it nigh impossible for people with limited time to catch.

Once I did finally manage to be there, there really wasn’t any explanation of what to do, so I kicked a few fish, attacked a few steaks and hoped for the best.

Sadly I didn’t get credit towards the weekly quest and at this point there is still no clear answer as to what to do other than try again and hope for the best.

On paper this looked like a fun idea, in practice its just a terrible experience.

At a minimum, if its going to be a weekly, at least make it happen every hour please.

you have 7 days to do it plenty of time…i did mine as soon as i picked it up and got it done during first soup event

it tells you want to do…plus there is a quest there as well.

And blizzard is not going to make that every hour. You had an entire week to do it.

Also, I might add although I still don’t care for the extras besides rep in there it was nice on my alts just to do one feast and have the entire weekly done, rep and all.

For the weekly quest you need to accomplish 5 tasks. During the feast Big Kinook will select 4-5 players (every 30s to few min depending how many players are there) and give them a task to complete. Once you get your task, complete it, and it counts for 1 task of the 5 required.

Most are easy, some will require you to look for NPCs in Iskaara or objects on the ground. Perhaps fish from clearly marked pools.

Front page of wowhead lists the time of the next feast.

For reference, the next feast is at 3pm EST.

its not like wowhead has a timer lol

They need to fix orders not going out if there’s a hundred people there. It’s dumb that you could show up right when it starts and be lucky to get 4 orders during the entire duration.

As stated, using Wowhead to coordinate, makes this much easier.

The event can be delayed a minute or 2. There is a quest from a small NPC next to the pot……he is VERY HARD TO SEE if there is a mass of players.

And sometimes the Quest Icon takes a minute or two to show so wait for it and then follow the instructions.

I didn’t know Wowhead listed the timers for this and the Keep Assualt and it’s much easier using them.

OP, if you don’t get there in time to finish 5 tasks for the quest, you can finish it at the next one. It happened to me.

the trick is to do it With WM on, you get more orders and for some reason even if alliance are there you cant attack each other even with WM on.

If you can do this once when there isn’t a ton of players around it’s a lot easier to sort out. After that you understand how it works and can get it done when it’s just a mass of characters.

Just turn on WM and watch the orders roll in…like i said before even with WM on you cant attack people

Nice if that works but they still need to fix it.

They also need to fix it randomly bugging out and ending early. Not sure when it started happening, but It’s happened 3 times this week so far.

the bugging happens from people putting toys down if no one puts that junk down it wont bug I noticed this.

It’s kind of a pain doing this on one character, but doable. But getting this done on alts is really where this requirement really starts to get harder to complete. Having to plan around them when you’re doing other things, not even in just wow but IRL, gets to be a pain.

The feast should be kept an optional thing, not part of the weekly imo.

And yes, I recommend learning how to do the feast properly in the future, even without the weekly quest thing, which I agree is not good design.

You know how to set an alarm on your phone, right?

No, never heard of an alarm. Or never seen the wowhead timers, or can even understand the concept of doing things at set times. Thanks for the highly constructive and thorough response that doesn’t change anything I said.

You are very welcome.

If it got changed to every hour there would be way more issues with people and all the toys and everythings else they drop around it.

You really want even more lagging OP cuz that’s a good way for it to happen, to the point every hour the whole space there would be un playable for everyone.

Weekly is just fine if you can catch it without 2000 toys being deployed.

I think that removing toys in the area would be an obvious help in dealing with the issue of lag, but still more so for me doing it multiple times with alts is when it becomes just annoying.

I really think the “do 5 world quests” or maybe even “participate in a storm event” thing would be better cause they can be done at any time and you don’t have to plan your day around it.
