Even they’ve picked up on it. It seems like there is this big silence, and it could be just everyone being told to say nothing until after blizzcon.
Just look up the community-council-feedback thread

I actually forgot about the Tech MVP’s. Now that you mention it, I’ve only ever heard good things about them, but, just like the CC I don’t know a lot about them.
Who didn’t see it coming. We all knew from the beginning how it would go.
It’s been so long since we had a MVP nomination or New Person MVP I’m beginning to wonder if they even exist.
Some of us post on here, quite a bit, and perhaps not in general discussion, but I think their input should be rewarded at a certain point by some kind of small perk.
Imagine working at a company for 10 years and yet you wear the same shirt as everyone else and make the same amount of money. If I were the owner, I’d have them wear like a different color or give them a different title. Obviously not more money, but I’m just using it as an analogy probably poorly.
Separate the trolls from the people who do try to go out and make a concerted effort to respond to threads and not be ugly or mean, etc.
Not a power increase , but just a recognition of longevity.
And for me, the community council was a proxy version of this because of being selected for content creation or something that shows there value to the greater community
The quality control on who gets admitted has been woefully lacking at various points.
it served its purpose. it made us shut up for a few months.
Heh. I completely forgot about that council thing.
What Stompy said.
I forget they exist until they make a unicorn appearance in some random thread.
I think Tovi, stompy and robo should get gold text for having so many posts than these 1 post community council peeps
Y’all have put in the time.
from looks of it abouts 80% of the CC use it as their special club just to chat about the Brewfest drops and what not
But some are more equal than others.
There are some damn good discussions on the GD amoungst the muck, just too hard to wade through. Thought it was the MVP’s job, but instead, in an obviously PR stunt we got the CC. It’s mostly who cares, not even them.
If the PR stunt was successful.
But we all knew it would be useless from the get go.
Who was the PR stunt successful towards?
Like most of you, I honestly forgot the CC even existed. I took this opportunity to peruse some posts there. Meh. I wasn’t impressed. They have the same idiots there as they do here TBH. So I wouldn’t expect much reasoned discourse on the CC. The only difference is on the CC you can’t openly mock people as you can over here. Personally I prefer it here. I like to call a spade, a spade.
i think some of the old tech greens are still out there doing Elune’s work.
let’s give colored text to people like metro.
what could possibly go wrong?
I can’t be trusted with coloured text. I would end up making each letter a different colour to annoy people.
I can’t even be trusted with the remote.
How would you measure the success or failure of the cc forum?
do you feel like they accurately represent the feelings/concerns of players?
One of the issues I constantly struggle with is that I honestly have no idea whether I have a super-niche playstyle or whether I’m part of some significant demographic of players. So, with armchair dev hat on, I don’t feel entirely comfortable measuring the cc as a concept based solely on my own selfish interests.
That said, although I don’t follow the CC super-closely, a number of topics close to my heart have come up at one time or another (this year more than last).
