Hi! I am mostly pve-oriented and play in a cross-realm casual pve guild I don’t want to leave (they also speak my language since i’m not from the us). I am curious about dabbling in RP ever since I watched the Ibelin doc, and this is my first night elf. I know it is common to find RP guilds here, but I was wondering if there are active “guild agnostic” RP communities, to interact and play with. Or is Moonguard very guild-centric?
Guilds are a great way to get into organized RP, but it’s not difficult to engage in walk-up RP in certain locations and certain times of day. For example, if you’re Alliance, Stormwind is pretty active 24/7 on Moon Guard. If you’re Horde, I believe its more active towards the evening? I’m not positive as I haven’t played Horde in a very long time and don’t know how their scene is doing.
There are other, ‘hotspots,’ for RP. Darkshire, for example, tends to be fairly active.
. . .
Just stay away from Goldshire…
MG-Horde is dead outside of guilds. There are communities for both MG-A and MG-H, or both, but those mostly have discords and they convene a few times a year.
I am not sure if there is an MG similar discord, but Wyrmrest Accord has a community discord project that a big portion of the RP community there seems to be involved with. It allows you to get involved with RP whether you are in a RP guild, guild-less entirely, or within a non-RP guild and still find several RP events to go to as well as RPers willing to go to your events as well.
If someone knows if MG has something similar I hope they can post because it is a really refreshing take on finding RP for that server. I don’t know enough about MG other than that is where I make Alliance toons that I rarely play or RP enough on.
waves I run WrA-RP Discord and the links I have for MG Discords or cross-server Discords are:

There’s also the Free Seas Community, Tournament of Ages and a bunch of others for different specific groups.
We may not sit in Valley of Honor, but that doesn’t mean we at The Horde Vanguard aren’t bumping. Horde culture is a little different and exists more within the guilds who take themselves out into the world to roleplay rather than in Orgrimmar. We get together for campaigns and social events - such as our recent two day block of events for Wintersveil and our campaign in Pandaria not too long ago. Rest assured we are cooking stories and narratives that are top tier and fun with some of the best DMs I’ve had the pleasure of working with.
We’re always looking for more friends to help fill us out and enjoy the strange bedfellows that is the Horde. Were more than happy to welcome anyone with a good attitude and an interest in something a little different from the cultures of the alliance.
All it takes to start is a friendly hello!
