At last, they finally added new blood to CC, all the threads were created for like 5-6 players and the last comment before yesterday on introduce yourself was 20 days ago, I look forward to next threads there but i doubt Devs will touch some threads created there.
I didn’t expect a profession thread from worldpvp and he created one but there’s not players replying to it yet, so i hope some new profession guys are added since SL didn’t handle professions properly and legendary creation via player economy only caused issues.
We already unlocked flying tho, and then couldn’t use it in the new 9.1 zone which was dumb. Tired of re-unlocking stuff I already had unlocked, kthx.
So far, it seems like Korthia 2.0 but with more annoying systems added and player power tied to it. I hated Korthia, so I will therefore pretty much surely hate this new zone. It’s also going to be annoying to have yet another loading screen to get to Korthia or whatever and NOT be able to just fly from our current zones to get there.
The biggest problem with Zereth Mortis is that the zone is pointless.
It’s a totally different problem than anything Korthia ever faced.
Apart from being a 1-off to do the campaign, people are going to look around and say “What is this zone even for? Just building battle pets?”
Like I’ve said before, the best comparison is to Crystalsong Forest.
I think that 5-6 weeks from now, a big complaint will be that there’s nothing to do in 9.2 unless you do M+ or raid. There’s certainly no reason to spend any time in ZM.
Or, they could be professional like everybody else is at work and say “we appreciate your feedback and you make some good points. Here are some issues we see with it though: blah, blah, blah. But you bring up some good points as well that we’ll take into consideration”
And then actually ponder what players want. That’s every corporate job everywhere with their customers, bosses, co-workers. It’s not a weird ask of blizzard.
Edit:
Is it a good place to catch up alts?
If so, that would be valuable for a casual like me. If not, then you may be right.
Honestly I think they just wanted ‘A good spotlight’ during the difficult time of such scrutiny and proposed the idea, without too much long-term commitment plans towards it.
But, then again who knows - I could be wrong, an optimistic thought would be that they’ve actually been noting it all down, ready to unleash a heap of the great features in one fell-swoop: ’Surprise!'
Did people really thought at any point that Blizzard would actually improve communication?
The Council was just something Blizzard made to give some the people who lick their boots something without actually giving them anything, like MVPs.
I hope they don’t waste time “improving communication,” we need the developers working on the game, not justifying every design decision they make.
Take flying as an example. Blizzard has repeatedly “communicated” why they removed flying from the game, then put it behind an 8-month wait after bringing it back.
Did that make me feel better? No, it was infuriating. I don’t want them to explain their dumb decisions, I want them to NOT make dumb decisions in the first place.
Using your developers as a marketing tool is a waste of their time; let them do their jobs instead of doing other peoples’ jobs.
Again. This is a false choice. You can have developers works on the game and OTHER people communicate. You act like blizzard or WoW has only one type of employee.
If I said blizzard headquarters was dirty (literally dirty) would you assume I want the developers to clean the place up?
I agree. Although SOME communication would be helpful, even if only to acknowledge things.
For example the stupid Renny quest in Ardenweald, that crap has been broken since day one and I just came back to the game after a 7 month break and it is still broken.
Keep in mind I have been reporting that quest as broken for over a year on the bug report forum and not a single GM has ever bothered to even post there saying they know it’s broken and will work on a fix someday, nope, just ignore and leave it broken with lots of people being unable to get the reward.
I would feel less pissed if they at least bothered to say something.
I cannot answer that without saying bad things about the types of folks you generally find in marketing roles at game publishers, so I’m not going to say anything.
