Hello everyone! I had this thought that I thought of a few days ago, and I found it interesting. So, I have seen videos where people talk to the enemy faction by writing weird combinations of letters that get translated into readable words by players in the opposite faction. But then I realized something.
One of the ways Blizzard does purposefully allow you to do is communicate with other players using emotes. For example, if you /hello a player from the opposite faction, they will know what you gestured to them.
What is interesting is that I looked through some commands online to better understand the commands I can use, and I found this one command called /em. When I learned what it was, I was rather happy. There were many emotes I would want in wow, and now there was a way to make all of the emotes that I ever wanted.
And then, I had a thought pop in my head. What if I could use custom emotes to talk to the opposing faction? If the opposite factions are able to see each others emotes, then could they type whatever they wanted, even communicative sentences, to each other if they put /em in front of what they wanted to say?
Could this be possible?
Update: Well, I saw on the wiki that the custom emote would get fudged from the opposite factions point of you, so I guess the answer is possibly no. But please leave thoughts about the idea to confirm this or inform me of something important that I should know. Thank you.
