Common dude. really?

signs in to do some morning mining/gathering with a coffee and maybe make a few gold on the auction house

5 minutes later…

Two (seperate) herds of druid bots (pack of 15+) are observed peeling away from mining nodes.

signs off

im done.

Were the packs operating synchronously (e.g. all 15 toons started and stopping mining/picking at the same exact time)? If so, I recommend reporting for botting and letting Blizzard investigate, but if the actions weren’t synchronized, it’s probably a legitimate multiboxer.

Seems like an odd thing to get that upset about.

Even if it’s multiboxing, it doesn’t make it any better.

It’s just more excusable on blizzards part.

This has always been a problem. Maybe try to find a new node? No reason your day should be ruined because other people suck.

yeah, for sure synchronized. there wasn’t even a full character space between the 15 of them.
reported 2 of them. killed about 7. they were all level 50’s in suramar zone, legion expansion.
its just disheartening to see this kind of thing. i wanted to mine and gather and contribute to the auction house and make a fair dollar, bot hordes like this drive prices out of whack and leave little to no room for the honest player to fit into the cycle.
I guess that im just sick and tired of seeing it. disappointed that a multi million dollar pay per month game has this type of thing. I could see it on free servers but like. this has been going on for a hundred years and is still going on today.
i was looking forward to gathering those juicy nodes, making some GOLD, and when i see a string of bots it just makes me feel like the game is lost. immediatley un-inspired, throw the game away kindof feeling. just log out for the day or 3, or a month and be satisfied I dont have to see this kind of game abuse. Token price: 20$ canadian. Feeling that the game has absolutly no integrity, priceless.

I understand your frustration. It sounds like you’ve done all you can do. I will say that if Blizzard takes action against the botters, you will get in-game mail thanking you for the report later on, along with a “we took action against the account” statement. They won’t give you specifics, but it’s nice knowing the report is taken seriously.

Sounds like you did run across a common dude.

Now you have to keep an eye out for a Rare Dude, those don’t come around often and can be tricky to spot

Are there really humans out there who think ‘Come on’ or ‘c’mon’ is spelled ‘Common’.

Posts like these are unhelpful, non-constructive and only reinforce the “toxic community” stereotype. I urge you to be more positive in your future posts.

If the complaint weren’t so dramatic, I’d be more understanding.

We’ve all dealt with bots for years. Nazjatar was horrible. And was the only place to get that one damn herb. But I’d just try a different route to bypass the bots. I didn’t get dramatic and log off. :woman_shrugging:t4:

I don’t disagree with trying to find other ways to cope with the problem, but I do disagree with long-winded posts that only aim to denigrate and tear down the thread creator.

Welcome to GD, sir or madam. It gets like that a lot.

@Malouda - illidan, who are you?

reflecting on my earlier statement I would like to point out that i may have used “strong” words like money and dissapointment but it really hurts to see this in a game that i love so much.

and i disagree with your disagreement. so no i won’t bow to your opinion just like you aren’t bowing to mine. you aren’t anyone special. I’ma do me. Thanks

Sure thing, but it’s not a good look to express a condescending/negative attitude onto those who have not done the same to you. Have a great weekend.

These are the same humans who can’t differentiate between “your” and “you’re”.

Title of thread aside, this is common
