Command to rename warlock pet

I must be doing it wrong because
/Script PetAbandon();
is only dismissing pet and not allowing a new one to have a new name with no abilities.

can someone give me the correct script to re-roll warlock demon for a new name like from vanilla wow.

The ability to rename your warlock pet was patched away during vanilla. I’m sure classic doesn’t allow it.

edit: and by rename i mean get a new pet, not actually pick the name yourself.

The onyl way to rename your pet is to re-roll another warlock.

I don’t think you guys realize that in vanilla you could rename your pet by dismissing it i think it was with the command i mentioned above but it is not working. Your new summoned demon would have a new name and have to relearn all their skills.

Seems like classic failed to emulate this.

I can’t find the exact patch when that was changed, BUT I did find an April 2006 LiveJournal posting in which players are talking about it having been nerfed (broken / fixed, depends on whose perspective).

So, as we’re playing on the 1.12 data, which is many months later than April 2006, it makes sense that it doesn’t work. And is #nochanges from 1.12.
