Command Table

Honestly the system isn’t as intuitive as previous command tables and with the way this works it seriously makes me think we’re getting an autochess announcement in the style of TFT at BlizzConline.

“You like the command table, you’ll like this too!”

Thanks for this, didn’t know!

The Command Table is very bad.
~ I had 796 anima total and it asked for 392 anima to heal just one follower.
~ It says I must use The Command Table quest to continue my level with my covenant.

I gave up on my Command Table. It uses too much anima.

Companions heal on their own over time. The rate can be increased by upgrading the table to level 2.

On Night Fae, I’m level 20+ on each of my four companions, never fail, heals all day, crush elites and rares like nothing…

On my Venthry, I fail about half and half so I double stack champions on rares/elites.

On Bastion, I lose almost always. They suck so bad.

Also Bastion here. I tend to use named characters as tanks because they have more HP than the mooks, and some have special abilities that require them to be on the front line.

Also, I don’t spend Anima on healing, thus I have plenty! And am considering buying cosmetic items with it. But I’ll hold off on that until I have a full tank and nothing else to spend Anima on.

…how?

first trick, ignore the supposed difficulty level… a level 13 silver rare, or 14 elite, all of it seems to be illusion…

the numbers of concern, enemies total health divided by your damage, your total health divided by the enemies total damage, for a simplified method…

more detailed study, one in particular, the silver rare does spell against all for 297 every 4 rounds, I can see rather quickly on the 5th round, I’m losing people, on the 9th round it’s over, I lose.
It’s simple, in 9 rounds, my total offense does not reduce his 5900 hp to 0.

I consider it a mistake now having done the 1k xp missions, before having all 3 heroes… now my first hero is 16, and I’ve had to do catch up 1k missions on my 2nd hero… I don’t have the 3rd hero yet, and that’s gonna lead to further differances…
the mistake, because my first hero is 16, I’m not seeing those lower rank missions, and my 3rd hero will have to be carried…

my thought, when I begin this mission business on my semi-main alt, is I’ll just do the anima missions, basically idle mode, until I do have all 3 heroes, then begin work increasing skill level.

idle mode may suck, but reality is, the only fights I’ll win at any level seems to be the anima fights, and it’s the same reward at level 5, and it is at 10… it all seems to be spinning wheels doing the 1k xp missions… the reward is illusion, if the result remains static.

Glad it helped!

Command table is giving me Gwent tutorial vibes like the first time I played Witcher 3, XD.

couldn’t have said it better!

It is such a waste of anima. You have to spend 15 to get 30 so you net 15. Um, OK.

Done with it.

Seems no matter the mission it loses lol.

Do the XP missions for now. Your biggest focus should be just leveling them up.

I actually really like this new command table because it makes me have to do RPG things like position units and such. I have no complaints about it. It’s more fun than the other one for me.

If you went 0-5, it means you did something wrong. Nothing about early level missions are difficult unless you dunno what you’re doing.

I mean - you could also just ask for some advice on how to properly utilize the table. Many guildies have come to me asking how to properly use their table considering it’s very different from previous iterations. There’s nothing wrong with asking questions.

If you go by raw numbers you should get a rough idea if you’re going to win a battle or not. If you keep losing, then prioritize the xp missions. 1k exp will level a new follower like 8 times.

I can do the rare missions just fine, but I had to level up.

no I absolutely love the thing. It feels like my choices actually matter when it comes to the way I set up my party and I’ve either been very lucky or am half way decent at it because I’ve only lost once out of like twenty.

Oh, I just realized, maybe she doesn’t know you can send multiple secondary units?

The important part is that your damage is higher than the opponents.

I usually put 1-2 companions on a single mission that has 1.5 to 2x the attack power of the opponent. It will almost always succeed if you do that. Even the Rare missions, when you get your characters level up, you might not have as much damage, but you may have more hp with the ‘melee guys’ or tanks if you have them.
