Command Table

I don’t see this going far since the start of Warlords. Blizzard keeps reiterating on this and still end up making it useless.

First off why I do have to spend my Anima when the resource alone is hard enough to obtain and it increases by how many followers are used.

Let’s call it what it actually is , Anima is now what war resources are in BFA and every other Xpac but this time it’s pain to collect.

These command table quests shouldn’t take hours, shouldn’t drain a resource that when used on the command table the quest loot is worse than grinding out world quests . It’s sad when you spend 10 anima just to get 5 from completion or spend 30 anima on a necklace that’s a lower ilvl than what you have by 20 . It’s a currency dump at the start of an expansion that’s not needed but it’s given to us because Adventure Campaign progress is gated behind it .

Double the anima given out . Make the rewards from command table worth spending the anima on and if these two can’t be met then just get rid of the table altogether.

Yea the current setup on the command table is just stupid. I don’t like that they don’t show what your chances of success are either.

I admittedly breeze through the unlock but I have noticed having very limited missions with horrifically low clear rates. Shouldn’t they scale over time?

Or I’m a silly goose, and am misinterpreting

Yea the shadowlands version of the mission table really sucks. Would rather see it just removed entirely. I’d hope that in the future there will be drastic increases in the rate we acquire anima. Because the later upgrades to the sanctum cost 5-15k anima.

WoD had too many followers and missions
Legion had a nice balance it seemed.
BfA I didn’t touch it beyond 1 character.

I HATE the Shadowlands command table. It is confusing, pointless and merely an anima sink.

The Legion class halls were decent in general which helped. Blizzard seems to be determined to put things in that sort of represent what would be in player housing or a class hall type area that goes with you from xpac to xpac while refusing to ever do player housing or anything that goes from xpac to xpac so the results are always underwhelming.

I’m perhaps one of the few that enjoyed the table games of the past expansions. This time really takes the garbage award though. I’ve won maybe 2 of 15 attempts and I’ve decided to boycott this version. It’s too frustrating. Little to no hope and no real explanation during the initial tut. What a horrible fail at something that if only QA was around to have provided feedback, could have been fun or at least somewhat entertaining. 100% garbage.

I enjoy the command table. Best iteration yet. Its a simple auto battler and requires some strategy, especially when you get past the early levels.

It matters where you place your companions. Don’t waste anima healing your companions. Just put them in a position where they don’t get hit often. They regain full health when they level.

I do wish Battles didn’t take so long, but overall your anima gain should be net positive along with other rewards if you do it right and don’t fail the missions.

I think I did the same thing. I’m Ardenweald so I was able to beat any mission with the dreamweaver + 4 trappers combo. I used this combo to push the advancement missions and didn’t notice until it was too late how skewed the mission we’re becoming. I now have exclusively level 50 - 60 elite missions while my champions are all in the mid 30s. I’m now unable to complete any missions, even using the dreamweaver combo. AND to top it off bonus exp missions stopped dropping. So now I can only inch my champions forward in level through failed missions, each of which costs about 50 anima…

I agree. I really enjoy he playability through the app as well. I don’t have much time to play due to work and such but by staying up on my missions through the app I feel like I’m able to keep up with my guildies who no-life the game in this aspect of it atleast. It bums me out to no end that I broke my command table.

I don’t really undersrand why it’s still around. It serves no real purpose.

Lol. I’ve been very careful not to do that. Sounds pretty game breaking

Personally I like it as a way to somewhat make the game work for me while i’m at work, taking a walk, or whatever else. The missions reward gold, anima, transmog, battle tokens, and caches of resources i might not otherwise be able to collect. Heck i’ve made a little over 10k just from doing the enchanting cache missions on one character. Right now collecting anima for more than a few characters is a pain but, as the expansion wears on and we passively collect more and use less, it’ll be essentially free money.

Those can be sourced somewhere else. And the anima and gold it gives is so minute that it doesn’t matter.

Put the AH or pet battles on the app, delete the table.

I wish I caught it sooner. I was just going ham on all the missions. :stuck_out_tongue:
And now I can’t play at all. :*(

Alright thanks for your opinion.

I like the Shadowlands version of the table but I do think it needs some tuning. Balance the troops between the covenants and maybe lower the healing costs which are very high.

I also don’t mind anima being a little bit more difficult to obtain than war resources. War resources might as well have not been a currency at all. I had so much of it I could never spend it all.

i have always enjoyed this aspect of the game, and i made a ton of gold running a dozen toons in legion for those tasty gold missions.

This expansion is just lame for adventures, the covenants are so unbalanced. my main is venthyr and my first 60 alt is night fae and they just dont even compare. venthyr followers and troops are abysmal compared to night fae.

if they would just balance things and make the missions reasonable instead of impossible, that would be a big help.

i mostly run the lame anima missions on my venthyr, for 10 anima i get 30-40 so a smal passive net profit to pad the resevoir…

please fix the balance between covenants. sure they can have unique abilities but dont continue to make some covenants compeltely worthless for advancing adventures.

Agree 100%. I don’t see the point of doing the command table at all. You spend more anima than you ever get in rewards. Seems pretty pointless to me. Legion command table wasn’t bad but BFA was a joke and Shadowlands is just completely worthless. Unless someone can provide an actual reason for doing this. I haven’t been able to find one doing searches.

Hard to attain?!? You can make around 500 from an LFR clear, another 500 from your “collect 20 souls” weekly quest. If you are doing the callings, that is probably another 500 a week. So without even really trying you can easily make 1.5 to 2k a week. Hell if you do the anima missions, it will cover the cost of doing the table in the first place.

The command table takes a few minutes to send them out and then you forget about it for a couple of hours. Check it later using the mobile app and send them out again. We shouldn’t be expecting much, it is basically a passive system with very little effort or interaction from us.
