Command table missions are scaling too fast

Kyrian and most of my troops are 33-35. I have a 48 elite mission showing right now. the soul ash mission has jumped to level 40 elite and doesn’t estimate as close to doable. I wish i had the ez-mode night fae ones.

Even the non-elite missions are all 37 now.

I got 2 companions recently that are now 19-20. I can forget trying to include them in any mission now, especially the only bonus exp mission i have been seeing lately that is now 35 elite. even that one looks like a dice roll if i use my best troops.

at the very least, there needs to be more mission level variety for those low companions who most need to level.

considering how long it takes them to heal, or the big anima to heal them, I don’t much feel like experimenting on 50-50 missions.

I have enjoyed the tables in previous xpacs. i worked to collect champions, level them etc.

The BIG difference in loot now, such as no bonus loot for pet coins, augment runes, etc, makes dealing with the other things i mentioned even more of a chore.

Stop doing missions that contain progress to your table. Every 4 progression quests, you raise the level of your table.

In regards of leveling the new followers, try to mix them with your best group in XP reward quests.

There is an addon named “Venture Plan” that helps you plan your missions. Sadly, it is not on curse.

i mentioned the bad mission estimates and dice rolls, so i have an addon. I won’t use venture plan because it isn’t on curse. not having those basic safeguards from a curse source, i won’t touch anything outside of it.

campaign missions gave a pet so I went for them lol. I didn’t expect a 5-10 level jump in the missions. a level 48 elite mission is a crazy high jump from anything previous. soul ash mission on monday was 30 elite. today it’s 40 elite.

as i said, the only exp mission i have been seeing is a 35 elite that the addon estimate calls 50-50 IF i use my best troops. Not even close if i try using one of those lower companions.

Oh, while i am at it, non-bonus exp missions should also show the exp that companions will get as well.

I still hate that you don’t get bonus XP missions anymore after a certain point, yet you continue getting new companions.

Had I known about the bonus XP missions going away (for whatever reason), then I would not have pushed past a certain point in the campaign. But hindsight is hindsight.

past mission tables still left room to level new champions. not seeing it this time

I don’t understand this, my troops are 25-30 and fail elite and rare quests same level all the time.

could be worse, you could be venthyr and have level 30 followers that cant complete level 20 soul ash missions because they are so broken scaling wise.

Once you get Meatball, Croman, Stonehead and Dug Gravawell things get much better. With General Draven missions tend to get easier as he reduce the damage all your troops take by 20% (I’m currently powerleveling him).

I suggest you to get the Venture Plan addon, it helped a lot planning the missions, and since then I’ve completed every Soul Ash mission I’ve came across (I’m currently at 8 progress, until I can level up my companions to at least level 40).

Yeah, is the venthyr life. I am past caring about it at this point.

I have all of those minions, most of them are in the 25-28 level range now and still fail a level 20 soul ash mission :frowning:

The add on developer of Venture Plan (townlong yak) is pretty highly thought of and gave some pretty specific reasoning for why he recently left Curseforge. It had to do with Overwolf.

I think it’s screwed up the the fresh companions are being gated in… slowly… some locked behind renown.

I don’t want the core group to push the exp missions beyond my fresh companions ability to run exp missions.

It sounds bad, but I’m intentionally limiting my core group, until I have the whole group available.

I found an add-on today for the Command Table. It’s pretty basic, doesn’t “do the work for you”, but depending on what troops you put in any given board, it gives statistical information of if the mission will pass/fail. It’s called “Covenant Mission Success Estimates”, and it’s on CurseForge.

Edit: Giving it a try, anything’s better than nothing. Sometimes I think I’m going to win and all my followers die. Am gyped Venthyr of course, so only have 1 follower with the 20% damage reduction.

how these missions are supposed to scale is beyond me.

In the last 2 days i have failed a 34 and 37 NON-ELITE mission.

I just got a level 1 minion from renown 27 today. no clue how it will level when supposedly lower difficulty missions are failing.

for some strange reason i have level 48 elite Campaign missions that i can do. If i do them i will be in an even worse position than i am now.

Even the “lower” missions that I do complete, the team comes back with 2 dead and the rest wrecked. Either i spend hundreds or thousands of anima healing them, or i resign myself to being able to do one mission a day.

spending 5k anima to just get 25% faster healing seems a very lackluster upgrade.

What are the eventual rewards for doing the Command Table?

soul ash, pets, mounts, gold, anima, pet coins, gathering mats. rep with various factions and right now at my level of missions 184 gear.

Everyone’s missions are scaling to 184 gear right now because those rewards scale with WQs and until next week (renown 29) WQs max out at 184.

I read the link you posted.

It seems to be a long winded complaint about advertising on Overwolf.

I use Overwolf and I didn’t even realize that there were advertisements on it. And I’m far too lazy to go back and check right now.

Yeah, I chose to do exp missions for weeks instead of progression missions, except for soul ash ones. They should keep the exp missions all the way through.

They do…

I have done all of the progression missions.

I get 1500 xp missions even if I fail.
