Every mission at my command table is 50+ elite.
My highest companion is lvl 32. I havent won a mission in a week.
Is this bugged? Am I doing something wrong?

I’ve had a suspicion that they recently stealth buffed the table by deleting a bunch of the xp missions and making the campaign quests more OP. I know for me the xp missions have completely disappeared for several days now whereas before there was always one or two per day.
Mission levels are tied to the adventures. As you progress through those, the mission level increase. I’ve been avoiding those while I level my companions and the level range hasn’t changed since.
NO it isnt bugged.
Yes you did something wrong
You ignored the warning that certain missions would raise your table progress and kept doing those missions until your table out leveled your followers. That was your choice.
Your followers still earn xp even failing a mission. At this point you need to keep failing missions until your followers are high enough level to start winning again.
Also, since you didnt get it the first time, stop doing the campaign advancement missions that are labeled as such right in the title. Until your followers are at the appropriate level.
table is poorly implemented… lacking documentation … not intuitive at all…
would be easy for blizz to resolve… but this far in, they obviously don’t see it as important.
What this guy said. If you do the campaign advancement missions too quickly before enough of your followers are the level of the campaign advancement mission you run the risk of outleveling your toons.
Right now, for example, I have a level 36 campaign advancement mission on my table, but most of my toons range from level 21-30 (with only 1 being 30). I’m nowhere near ready to take on the next advancement mission, but luckily the missions I’m being offered range from 12-24 (with 24 being more of the elite/silver missions).
Once the majority (85% or higher) of my hero units are level 30-40 I’ll consider doing the next advancement mission which is level 36.
Wow, even the mission table has elitists now? ![]()
There is no “warning”. There are “campaign” missions which most players would logically do, since this is a game where you need to complete campaigns to get the best rewards.
Don’t defend this terrible, player-hostile design. It’s not the player’s fault if they “brick” their table. It’s on the devs for designing it so poorly.
The end result of that will be that players will simply stop bothering with the table. There’s no point pumping scarce resources into something that’s been designed to require constant failure to “fix”.
There’s not really a warning, and there’s no indication that it will cause you to no longer have access to level-appropriate missions. It just says “This challenge leads to additional adventures with greater rewards.”
If it instead said something like “Completing this challenge will raise the level of missions you are offered. You will no longer be offered lower level missions.” then that would be more helpful and could deter more people from simply powering through the campaign missions and getting into trouble.
This is especially important with there being no way to undo your progress. There aren’t really any other parts of the game where you can permanently screw yourself by progressing too far too quickly. For example, if you complete a mythic +10 while you’re at 180 ilvl, it doesn’t lock you into only doing high mythic keys from that point on. You can go “Whoa, that was tough. I’ll stick to +5s for now.” or whatever.
I ignored the warnings? What warnings?
that did not seem like a warning. in fact it reads as “DO ME, I GIVE YOU MORE REWARDS”
My missions are 50-60. many level 60 rewards. Main followers are around 31 and troops around 29.
Night fae though so still managed to get the bug mount reward from the mission table.
The table is just one big mess. Texts on abilities are vague and don’t do as they say, or completely don’t level up as the follower does.
No more access to XP missions beyond a certain campaign level.
Each coven has vastly different troops, some way more OP than others. (See NF trapper)
No thought or balance was even considered into this, and they just made the table even worse.
We’ve been telling people this for a week, maybe longer.
No sure what’s so difficult to comprehend.
Powering through campaign advancement missions when the heroes aren’t ready is just asking to hit a proverbial wall.
Then just keep running and failing, your heroes get the XP anyway. Eventually you’ll tip the scales.
who is we and who are these people you have been telling? Granted most people (90+%) never hit the forum, so how are you getting out the news?
I too saw this “warning” as encouragement to do the campaign missions to advance… with all the timegating… any opportunity to advance is welcome…
And it literally says “this challenge leads to additional adventures with greater rewards”
the XP missions were going up from 1k to 1.2k then 1.5k and then vanished. you would think the XP missions would be based on follower levels not adventure progress. that would be additional rewards not fewer missions.
and then theres the fact you can pick up a new Champion or what ever they are called this time round and they are at level 1 which causes the troops to DE level. i had the troops to lvl 30 and the regressed to lvl 28 because average… managed to get them back up to 29 but but happens when i get another and there is no XP missions? =/
Well this noob realized what some perceived was RA RA ADVANCEMENT was a trap and half. If many (if not most) of your heroes can’t even handle the missions you currently had at the time, why min/max and GET MORE ADVANCED QUESTS?
It’s like saying we can barely handle running a mile and then our coach signs our team up to run the mile and a quarter, then the mile and a half, then the two mile, then the 5 mile…

except, with NF the indication that its getting impossible is not apparent. its like saying, we need you to drive 2 miles and the only diff you notice is it might take more gas when they start asking you to drive 80 miles. No one expects the car to break down going 82 miles when everything is fine at the 80 mile mark.
Devs are trying to bring back “RPG elements from the roots of wow”. Like unrecoverable mistakes. And misleading information in-game that will lead to them.
Be it as it may, if I read the forums correcty many of the NF people sent the same hero over and over with 4 buffing foot soldiers while neglecting their other heroes for weeks.
AND at the same time some were saying how easy it was to complete missions (while their other heroes sat collecting dust)
…and are now wondering why they have hit a wall.
giveup
while that is also what i did, the others were doing xp missions and stuff. didn’t hit the wall till a lvl 26 Dream weaver couldn’t clear a lvl 60 mission. lvl 30/31 Dreamweaver back to being fine for at least one of the mount missions. next one popped up again, will have to wait and see if 4-5 levels will make a difference.
