So, I'm lost on what to play.
I use to play frost mages in legion but then I switched to disc priest beginning of bfa.
So I saw the 8.1 changes.
Is it worth rerolling frost mage?
I am in a raiding guild. (Raid 2 times a week)
Like to do the odd arena
And random bgs
And how the open world solo content (world quests etc etc..)
Any tips would be awesome.
Right now I'm playing a ret pally.

Will you only play frost? Then honestly probably not.
The class has two other specs though! And both of them are at the moment, and looks like will be in 8.1 as well, in pretty solid spots.
People keep overestimating the frost nerfs for pve, its mostly just to bring them in line for pvp. I hate frost but I still see solid potential with it in 8.1 especially with the new azerite traits.

Well OP pretty clearly said he does more than just PvE... so the PvP side of the nerfs should be taken into account.
And even from a PvE point of view, they are certainly going to be less desired post nerfs. Even if they're still strong they won't have the same valuable niche spot that they do now. OP was asking if it would be worth rerolling to a frost mage, not whether frost would still be playable after the nerfs. My honest opinion is no, it's not worth rerolling to a middle-of-the-pack performing caster that just had it's niche nerfed into the ground.
Now that said, if you are open to playing more specs that just frost, then hell yes reroll mage! Mages are the sh!t!
