It just randomly stopped working. In the space of 30 minutes while I was in the Maw I was dismounted 3 times. No rhyme or reason, just three random mobs in three random spots in the zone were able to knock me off my mount by dazing me.
- Are you using the Barding from BfA or from SL Leatherworking?
- Are you mounting up on the Sky golem or the Lumber Extractor?

But regardless of either, it doesn’t matter. Barding is barding, and the shredders are still mounts. If they’re not working properly? They need to be fixed.
The shredder mounts have never been eligible for mount equipment bonuses, so it’s not a bug. It is stated in the tooltip somewhere to that effect.

What Marwenna said, I believe at least Sky Golem and the Aquatic-only mounts have a hover tooltip that says “Does not benefit from Mount Equipment” or something to that regard.
Since Sky Golem/Lumber Extractor come with the ability to herb while mounted, it already benefits from its own mount ability, and they cannot be stacked by other abilities.
So…yeah, the questions I asked, especially the 2nd, makes ALL the difference.
