A comet is just ice and dust, so it would have no means to accelerate. It would probably just evaporate.

You can only get this mount if they treat it like the toy/item that turns you into a comet and shoots you far in the forward and downwards

Except that’s not how comet tails work, and they’re made of dust, rocks, ice, and gas. But most importantly, the tail always points away from the sun, no matter the direction the comet is traveling.
