Show special resources on target is what you’re looking for. Should be under the combat settings.
my combo points show up in 2 places, those are the dots I was asking about
Do this:
Interface > Names > Unit Nameplates then check box “Personal Resource Display”
Uncheck the box for “Show Special Resources on Targets”
This should give you what you are looking for.
He’s talking about the 5 clear combo points that turn red when you use a spell that creates a combo point. So I am having the same issue. It will be two in a row then skip on and then have a combo point. So 2 red circles then a clear one as if I never generate a combo then the next one will be red. You wont know when u have all combo points because its bugged. I’m assuming an addon is causing this.
Sounds like an addon issue, because by default I don’t believe combo points are ever shown as dashes, although I could be wrong.
The way Bangkkor described them on top of health bars is also odd. I’d personally suggest not showing them on enemy nameplates since that’s kind of a relic for when they were target specific.
I’d try using Nugcombopoints and just having the one place for combo points that’s stationary and not target specific.
Definitely an addon. as Rehk mentioned, id try out Nugcombopoints. I love that addon, i have it up next to my character along with an energy addon to track both (i dont like having my combo points on my target since im always moving and looking at other targets, not as helpful as compared to like WOTLK when combo points were per target instead of your character.
