Combine Two Classes

“If you could combine any two WoW classes into one hybrid spec, which classes would you pick, and how would it work? (E.g., a Rogue-Mage stealth caster or a Paladin-Shaman tank healer!)”

Warrior tank/ Resto sham. The end

Warrior and Mage to create one of my favorite archetypes, the Battlemage. Plate armor class with one tank, one melee, and one ranged spec. Alternate would be cloth armor but they use magic to enhance their defenses when tanking.

Warrior and a Priest… oh wait.

Paladin and Mage would be so broken.

make extra hero specs to accomodate other classes abilities

example:
arms warrior → blademaster hero talent tree that has stealth
assasin rogue → blademaster hero talent tree that has 2H polearm
DK → cryptlord that can burrow
paladin → aura master
shaman → witch doctor
hunter → pet rider with pet active skills and another pet summoned

etc

Shaman and priest so we can have a holy caster.

warlock and mage just so i could pop mirror image to fight alongside my primary demon, my 14 imps, my 4 felhunters, my charhound, my rain of felbats, and my demonic tyrant.

Assassination Rogue and Havoc DH. Stealth, all the movement, burts, metamorphosis, poisons, with a rediculouse mastery bonus.

There is currently a game out there that does that, they call them “Archetypes”

How do i know?
My youtube ads wont friggin shut up about it!

Warlock and Demon Hunter. It would just be Illidian in lore.

Priest and mage. I want to lance people with holy light as a dps. Give me my light caster dps class!

Hunter and Warlock.

Instead of Arrows, I shoot imps that explode on impact.

My traps? Just full of more imps.

My pets? Just a bunch of imps in a fursuit.

Assassin Rogue + Marksman Hunter = non-nature themed archery spec for everyone complaining about Hunter.

Always makes me laugh.

“We don’t have classes! We took existing classes, threw them in a blender, and called whatever came out something other than classes despite being mechanically identical to classes”

Hunter and a priest… picturing something like the Zul’Aman \ Zul’Gurub priests with animal aspects.

Rogue and hunter. in one of those other bad wows, when you actually put in rogue melee casts with hunter ranged it got much better really under older setups.

Retail sv melee never got me to say this is cool. Older sv was/is better.

OHH… GREAT… They turned my idea for a future WoW spec talents system into a crappy forum game in previous threads.

It would actually be good for the problem of NOT NECROMANCER, NOT BARDS, and NOT hunter or Demon Hunters with pistol gun instead of any rifle that has the same crappy fire rate and ability depending on the spec.

But anyway, there are a lot of things like:

  • Monk + Rogue = ninja.
  • Mage + Shaman = Elementalist.
  • DK + Warrior = Runemaster
  • Palladin + Warrior = Crusader
  • Rogue + Warrior = Blademaster
  • Rogue + Hunter = Warden
  • DK + Warlock = Necromancer
  • Priest + Rogue = Bard
  • DH + Priest = Shadow Master
  • DH + Warlock = Demon summoner
  • Warrior + Mage = Spell Breaker.

And so, the Tinker would have wanted as a new class since it could fit 4 types of specs, but that’s for another thread.

A death knight and a paladin, for uhh science.

Arcane Mage and Marksman Hunter.
It would be an agile ranged damage dealer who, instead of casting spells, fires magic attacks off from single-use magic wands they keep strapped all over their armor. Larger attacks would work by affixing a wand into an empowering staff to fire off like a rifle. Two minute cooldown is a belt-fed magic wand minigun, which blasts off various types of magic in rapid-fire and spits out the used wands like spent ammunition casings.
