Combat Visual Updates (CC / Interrupt/ Slow effects) Noticed

Visual updates to status ailments (Crowd Control / Interrupts/ Slows or Snares) added in this alpha build look great!

Crowd Control effects.

  • These have a distinct white /grey/blue-ish gradient that is noticeable yet not overpowering (for those with disabilities) and looks great as an Alpha visual indicator. This courses through the target’s body as a quick silhouette (great change).
    Ex: Kidney shot, Polymorph, Fear, Intimidating Shout all apply this).

Interrupts:

  • A noticeable and similar gradient is applied when SUCCESSFULLY interrupting a target. This is a great change and will help across all content and us pvpers. The icon appears above the target’s head from what I’ve noticed and lasts for about .05 seconds (really solid visual queue).

Slow effects:

  • A purple swirly gradient like vfx has been added that wraps the target’s feet and is very noticeable with a similar gradient for visual queuing. This is also a really awesome addition.
    Ex: Crippling Poison, Slow effects reapplied by mages, new monk roll slow applies the vfx etc.

Combat Indicator
A stock “In Combat” crossed swords has also been added and a distinct red aura around targets in combat is displayed in their Unitframe.

Notes serve to provide context or bring awareness to other testers as well as the community. I really dig it and thank you developers for adding visual tools like that in.
