I would also really like it if it was a side of the tree slanted to not have BtE and pistol shot. It would be nice the old style combat game picking some talents and throwing away RtB

That would have been nice. DF would have been a great time to bring back a Combat style gameplay/theme. Instead we get Shadow Dance and ER.

You can make a Combat Rogue build using Thistle Tea.
Skipping RTB buffs is actually not a big deal as all of them are weak now. And Improved AR isn’t that great.
Take all the sword slashing talents, the energy talents and loading up improved SND. Take Ghostly Strike, Kspree and Blade Rush and you have a consistent playstyle like old school Combat.

I like the pistol shot and bte, so honestly i hope they dont.
But i do get why alot of people dont so each their own.

I think anything is going to be good. I am liking the “feel” of outlaw on beta / ptr. some changes and tweaks, yeah. Overall, I think it will be the best version of outlaw and potentially better than tbc-mop versions of combat, that I have played since I started playing in late 2007.

Combat Rogue build actually works from what I tested.
The problem is that DB interaction with True Bearing RTB buff is so strong. But I anticipate that it will be nerfed to the ground at some point.
sadly, never been a fan of dread blade. give me a real killing spree.
Stop giving away my secrets for free. 
IMO, Seal Fate will be critical with Stratagem Outlaw builds.
