In order to keep Riposte (also requires Deflection x5) you’ll need to sacrifice 6 points. I take those points from 1x Lightning Relex(1% dodge), 2x Endurance( 1.5min CD reduction of “Sprint” & “Evasion”), and 3x Assassination Talents. The loss of Assassination Talents hurts MinMax, probably about 1% DPS drop, each. For example, “Murder” talent would have been about a +1% DPS increase, or “Lethality” talent would have been +6% damage to Crits). My preference.
Lesson learned, don’t try to look at talent trees with tiny displays provided by work while working. Fixed, edited the information. Sorry for the confusion.
You’ve got 60 levels to figure that out! Plenty of time playing to mold the class to your play style, if you can’t do it while you level, you’re just being lazy.
It’s essentially a 10 energy sinister strike with that disarm but doesn’t award cp. It is extremely useful in leveling and even works well in dungeons when you have a weak tank or can’t manage aggro.
I don’t know how to cut your post down but I want to touch on the imp poisons. If you are full time pve especially as horde, it’s not useful. In raids you have to deal with immunity and would typically have a shaman in your group for the much more sought after windfury totem. I would much rather have the points in murder.
If you are PvP then you are sub/sin anyways.
its great for solo questing, parry isnt bad either. sounds like you made up your mind without before you even tried using it for that purpose
It’s a little unusual, but to quote someone, literally take your mouse and left-click-highlight what you want to quote, and a little quote button shows up. Pretty nifty. Don’t see sites with it often.
Very good point. I failed to think of that since I’m an Alliance scum.
Murder is great, but if later on you’re exclusively raiding AQ40 and Naxx for example, I feel the points could be used elsewhere since you’re not fighting humanoids, dragonkin and beasts very often.
Then again, all the places you could put those 2 extra points into serve very little purpose in PvE. If I was strictly PvE and couldn’t think of a reason, I’d agree and keep it in Murder.
Maybe, I used it before only for PvP, if I am depending on 6 talent point so I can get a cheesy disarm off I am not playing Rogue, I am trying to play Warrior as a Rogue.
Rogue is control, if you need to disarm mobs your doing it wrong. Also depending on the Mob level every +1 level above you ensures they will hit you anyway decreasing Riposte effectiveness.
my 2 cents
If you’re on a PvP server, imp sprint is invaluable. Riposte is good but can be made useless with a weapon chain.
For PvE… riposte has minor benefit at best, outside of soloing.
Or a Blind, a Vanish, a Snare… If it was 2-3 talents id take it, 6 is ridiculous!
I used Riposte while leveling and it was suggested in the guide I followed. I got rid of it now that I am 60 and speced for PvE.
Yeah, that’s pretty much it. Great for soloing, very good for leveling, but bad everywhere else.
Improved sprint and lower Cooldown is the way to go, it’s just too good to pass up on it.
