Color-Coded Scrolling Combat Text

With the new addon purge, you are forced to use the default Blizzard scrolling combat damage text numbers, which limit you to white, yellow, and orange. Addons that can change this purely for cosmetic reasons are broken in Midnight Prepatch, such as Nameplate SCT.

This is terrible because we were affirmed that Blizzard would be making the new UI more customizable but there is literally no new option to color code the damage numbers that pop up when you attack an enemy NPC based on Spell/Damage type. Also having an option to have the Spell’s/Ability’s icon appear nex to the damage text should be an option.

TLDR: Update base scrolling combat text damage numbers to include an option that allows you to color code the text based on the type of damage your spell is. Example: (Holy-gold, Frost-cyan, Fire-red, Arcane-pink, Spellfrost-blue, etc.) And also include an option that allows you to display the spell/ability icon next to it’s respective colored scrolling combat text.

Color coding the spell casting (Channeling) bar based on damage type would also be nice, similar to addons like Voodoo Casting Bar.
